snoball - 23 Apr 2005 22:25 - 23 of 48

I suppose it would be chancing it to ask for Donchian channels, James?

The BBi looks interesting. What is the BBI?

snoball - 26 Apr 2005 22:37 - 24 of 48

busy little thread this, isn't it?

James(MoneyAM) - 27 Apr 2005 14:26 - 25 of 48

Hi snoball,

Sorry for the slow reply :-)

I don't have Donchian Channels available to slot in at the moment, although I may be able to do something at a later date.

According to my documentation, BBI is a "Bullish-Bearish Indicator", or "a weighted sum of the other indicators that have a bullish trend."

Hope this helps.

Cheers, James.

Thanks James, it certainly does.

Hi everyone,

We have made quite a few changes to the new charting section, and plan to go live in the next couple of days. For the time being, they can still be accessed by clicking the chart image at the top of this thread.

Thanks again for all of your feedback, we've incorporated your suggestions where possible, and plan to make further additions in the future.

Here are some of the changes we have made:

Intraday charts
Live Intraday charts (for Active users and above)
Custom charts now prefills boxes with example values
End of day charts (Basic and Custom) now have a "Plot Current Intraday Price" option
Basic and Custom charts now have more ranges and more sizes
Changing certain values automatically fetches a new chart
"Paste Chart to Bulletin Board" option
Security name on chart
Four "Compare To" boxes

Once again, any feedback about bugs or additional features you would like would be appreciated.

A few further things that I should mention:
1. "Old Java Streaming Charts" have been incorporated as it is not possible to draw trend lines on the new charts.
2. The "Paste Chart to Bulletin Board" URL is very long. I'm looking at ways to reduce this.
3. I changed the URL format slightly today, so any previous links to the new charts may be broken. Please let me know if this is a problem and I will explain what needs to be changed.

James.

James,

First of all- the new charts are a major improvement - keep up the good work!

But...............

Using custom charts, when I put the parameters 3-10-16 in for the MACD indicator, the 3 parameter is coming up as 20. Thought I'd let you know.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 12 May 2005 13:17 - 30 of 48

vincie,

Which of the 3 boxes are you entering the 3 parameter in, as I am unable to reproduce this

Ian

vincie - 12 May 2005 13:40 - 31 of 48

IAN,

I'm using the indicator graphs at the bottom of the custom charts, and putting the 3 parameter in the first box.

vincie,

Unfortuantely, 20 is the lowest etting for that parameter.

Why is it that when i switch from Trades to Chart,i have to enter the epic ,it used to be the same epic as the one i was watching.JB.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 13 May 2005 11:41 - 34 of 48

Jimmy,

We are going to put a fix in for this so that it will remember what you were looking at when you go into it.

Ian

jimmy b - 13 May 2005 11:44 - 35 of 48

Oh good , only a small point, but it was better the old way, thanks Ian..JB..

mickeyskint - 13 May 2005 16:26 - 36 of 48

Got to say guys, great charts. The best of all the boards, well done. Can you create a chart that tells me what stocks to buy that will be a certain multi bagger.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 13 May 2005 16:29 - 37 of 48

mickey,

Thanks for the feedback,

Cheers

Ian

Example showing that share splits are not handled too well
Share spits aren't handled great.

Yoyo - 14 May 2005 09:25 - 39 of 48

When looking at an INDU chart over say 2 or 3 years the line does not seem to fill the page like it used to. The VOD chart you have pasted at the top of this thread is good as it does fill the page. Also there used to be a better subdivision between each month with a vertical line for each.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 16 May 2005 07:47 - 40 of 48

Crystalclear/Yoyo,

I will get the tech guys to take a look into this,

Ian

Yoyo - 30 May 2005 10:16 - 41 of 48

The INDU chart is now looking much better across time span of year or more.
The DEX. needs to be adjusted in same way.
