Went back short after news on interest rate cut. markets not taken positively to it.

Long term support at 280pish but I think this maybe broken over next few days.

I've got sucked in at 330p hinking the graph has changed course.

Hyleo its a difficult one to call this one it appears from the charts.

Can only say that its fundies are imho some of the worst around and if things in the markets get worse rather than better I can only see this one in further trouble, mind having said that it has paid to go in and out.

Presumably all you shorters are going to bail out around the 250p mark & reverse your positions, or are you expecting a slide in to oblivion?

I'm not sure why anyone would want to risk going long on SOLA at the moment, but each to their own. I mentioned a few days ago that I thought I had identified a trendline that may be the one to watch (the green dashed line). I'm afraid the data on the screenshot is a few days out of date, but having bounced off the line earlier this week the SP is now sliding down the line and is currently providing some support. Although I doubt a sheer drop is likely I expect the SP to decline eventually to the 200p level where it should find support once more. Any rallys contained by the mid trendline and certainly the top of the channel. AIMHO DYOR etc etc :)

I am certainly not suggesting going long at the moment, but it would be interesting to see where the turnaround point is.
If you drew the same set of trend lines back in aug '07, it would have been the same scenario as now. No obvious sign of a reversal. Yet it happened.
Of course I am trying to bottom pick, which is dangerous, but I am going to be kicking myself if the sp goes back to the 480 level without identifying the start of the up trend.

Will 300p now be strong enough resistance? looks to be attempting it, personally i cant see much buying pressure at present, so i have also gambolled and gone short...

not sure, but though PVCS has not moved, SOLA's move may just be in sympathy with First Solar in USA who reported stunning results and whose sp then jumped 20/25% before yesterday's open and held it

stopped out, could be mistake, and as usual watch it slip back, but decided to stick with decision... difficult to say if stops are saving or costing me at the mo, i think the former to be fair...

if you look at chart the last lower high was early Feb at 340 (resistance), if this rally fails to reach 340 and then reverses, I would take this as a short signal, and go for a position once this is confirmed.

Would be interested in views, as to whether I have read this correctly or not.

One other possible scenario: Is a reverse head & shoulders forming, as in dec?
