Yep - bit of a bugger 'cos I had a short in the money overnight - stopped out just after 06:30. I must stop trying to fight the inevitable $2 to the 1.

been long cable since 0751, starting to get a bit nervous with central bankers trying to solicit support for dollar. As this is unlikely to come from US, central banks may try intervention soon!

Well I'm long cable, but I've not had charts (Netdania & FXtrek) since 9:11am (How spooky is that?). I've got a stop in place, so I'll just let it run and see what happens if or when I get some charts back.

I have to go out for a few hours so will just let it run, hopefully it will still be alive when I get back. I only use charts from cmc, etrade etc. and have not noticed any probs.

I'd been trying the Netdania feed in the FXtrek applet. I'm up and running now.

Do you need to open a new window each time that you want a different instrument, or is there a way of opening multiple views and instruments from the one "master" window?

Netdania you need to open new windows although I detach the charts to make it look better.

Hil your stop the 9.10 Low mark? Out of curiosity..

hilary - either that or the Dollar Protection Squad wade in - that would be interesting 'cos I've burnt quite a few bits of my anatomy anticipating their arrival. I've also got triggered positions at 19500 and 19550 - one of which has opened - GULP !!!

The Dollar Protection Squad consists solely of the BoJ, mg. And they tend to come in while we're still in bed.

The ECB are too namby-pamby to intervene, the BoE couldn't really care less and a weak Dollar probably suits the Fed atm, so they're hardly likely to intervene.

The Weaker the dollar is the better for the US. Although its more important the Peso, Yen and Cad $ are weak than us.. It helps the Trade Deficit.. The only ones likely to interven are the Japanese.. Rumurs are it will be the 100 level..

Got all that from interviews that have been on CNBC over the past couple of days..

Actually, mg, I think that your Kamikaze style of trading against the trend might well pay off. 1.95 could prove too tough an obstacle for today.

About bloody time - me and that trend were beginning to fall out. If 70 goes then I reckon it's clear water down to 40 - but thereagain, I've been calling it wrong since I started playing with this flaming cable thingymybob - apart from my first foray - should never have got lucky on my first punt ;)
