RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

Game on Goldman Sachs

The sooner we get rid of these short termers the better for RTD

Fred1new - 07 Mar 2005 18:34 - 2216 of 2406

Fundy, You must be looking at the same chart. There appears 2 gaps one closed but!!. Also on the intra-day chart there were a couple of down gaps. But the size of buys would suggest the smaller holders are still taking their profits. I think your timing is better than mine. (Retrospection) I will just watch but ""guess"" end of week it will be higher or you will be able to buy a pot at 25-26p. Not to bad day all round though, but must improve my selling.

Interesting post from The Analyst on advfn:

"All....

i sent an email to RTD asking for confimation that the Federated contract was for CNP and when they expected to go live with it....

Got the following reply today...

"
Thank you for your email.

In answer to your queries, the contract is for CNP and it went live prior to Christmas.

Yours sincerely

Jane Martin
"

So, we should already be earning from it. No doubt we'll get an update at the AGM.

Federated are huge in the US and even more so now given their recent acquisition. It appears that this is why Goldman Sachs are happy to continue ploughing in the cash - they can forecast accurately the phenomenal returns to come, they will also have a better handle than the rest of us on RTD's status in the US - i.e. that they are competing extremely well against Cybersource and scooping up contracts all over the place.

Douggie - 08 Mar 2005 09:00 - 2218 of 2406

morning all good buys going through this am but notic up yet MMs very reluctant to give anythindg on sp ? ;o\

Douggie - 08 Mar 2005 09:10 - 2219 of 2406

still nice bonus I spose for those smart confident enough to sell at/near top and buy back good luck to them ;o)

I still want sp back to high 30s at least.... now please ;-/

Fundamentalist - 08 Mar 2005 10:05 - 2220 of 2406

Douggie

based on the last set of results and current chart, on what basis do you expect a share price in the high 30's?

Douggie - 08 Mar 2005 10:34 - 2221 of 2406

HOPE....!!!!! ;-/ ?

pachandl - 08 Mar 2005 12:23 - 2222 of 2406

Douggie - I have spoken to all the MMs threatening them with permanent injury unless they start pushing the price up. So far it has had little effect - either they are bigger than I am or they don't want to lose their jobs.

2Richard2 - 08 Mar 2005 13:23 - 2223 of 2406

I suppose we'll just have to rely on RTD to announce some more contracts then.

Fred1new - 08 Mar 2005 13:27 - 2224 of 2406

Patience. Wait and see buying at the end of the day.

TheMaster - 09 Mar 2005 08:57 - 2227 of 2406

Nice rise today with steady buys already this morning, with more to come later after 9.00am

Douggie - 09 Mar 2005 08:59 - 2228 of 2406

morning all :o))

Fred1new - 09 Mar 2005 09:25 - 2229 of 2406

Douggie, Are you feeling a little happier? Should see 35-37p over next 2-3 weeks. 10-15%. Ballance buy size to small sell sizes satifactory. Let's have a liitle more volume. WE need Fundy to buy a couple of million as he usually does.

pachandl - 09 Mar 2005 09:29 - 2230 of 2406

Surprised no-one has thanked me for forcing the price up with my threats of imminent violence. Oh well, I suppose no-one wants to know the "heavy" when it suits them. I shall go off to sulk in the corner until my special talents are called upon again.

Fred1new - 09 Mar 2005 10:27 - 2231 of 2406

Pach, Thank you. Can I hire you to put a little pressure on BPRG 8-)

pachandl - 09 Mar 2005 10:32 - 2232 of 2406

Fred - sorry but I only prepared to commit a crime when my own money is at stake - unfortunately I do not own shares in BPRG. Hope your luck turns on that one.

pachandl - 09 Mar 2005 10:43 - 2233 of 2406

I did not see this before:

SUNDAY PRESS ...........

The Business

THE ALCHEMIST -
Clem Chambers selects some wild and risky stock
gambles: EMPIRE INTERNATIONAL, WHITEHEAD MANN, REGEN THERAPEUTICS,
WIGMORE GROUP, NETCENTRIC -
THE BEST OF THE BROKERS: AVIVA (analysts
fear it cannot keep up performance), Adidas (may be hit by lack of
sports events), COBHAM (air tanker deal will benefit Cobham) -
SMALL-CAP
INVESTOR: RETAIL DECISIONS (trading on about 19 times this year's
forecast earnings; that is a heady rating even for a software-related
business but Retail Decisions' market is growing) -

overgrowth - 09 Mar 2005 13:52 - 2234 of 2406

Chip and pin is driving fraud towards card not present which is great news for RTD. That market will continue to grow at a substantial rate for the foreseeable future.

Looks as though we've just witnessed the bottom guys - a sizeable bounce right back up from the medium term support channel.

It looks as though everyone who had profits to take have taken them now and because the institutions are still buying millions of shares we're quickly heading back on the right track.
