There was an item on Radio 4 - you know the posh channel - about it as well.

The oily one

Mad Pad - 13 Nov 2006 08:35 - 22291 of 27111

More packaging talk on radio 4 this am,seems to be flavour of the times.

Mad Pad - 13 Nov 2006 08:36 - 22292 of 27111

Oily my typing is pathetically slow!hence treading on your toes.

Oilywag - 13 Nov 2006 08:44 - 22293 of 27111

Right, enough of this frivolity, I'm off shortly to go and torture my students!

The oily one.

PS Can I trust you rotten lot to look after the share price until 1pm?

boldtrader - 13 Nov 2006 08:45 - 22294 of 27111

Independant Newspaper, 13/11/06 very interesting article also regards waste, packaging, recycling and Supermarkets, read through the digitallook web site. Hotting up! cheers.

greekman - 13 Nov 2006 08:53 - 22295 of 27111

If the early deals are mainly day traders, I think they are taking an almighty risk.
Looks more to me like punters not wanting to miss out.
27mill X trade just come in. Interesting!.

maxtor - 13 Nov 2006 08:53 - 22296 of 27111

s/p on the move

Mad Pad - 13 Nov 2006 09:02 - 22297 of 27111

nyleve - 13 Nov 2006 09:23 - 22298 of 27111

Hi All
Sainsbury's boss was the one on radio 4 this morning. There is a meeting between Government Officials and supermarkets today to see what each has done in the last 12 months to improve green packaging, thats why the sudden interest.
Should get very interesting to hear what each is doing !
Dave

At every SP advance there will be a number of weaker holders getting out, pleased to put their nightmare of recent months behind them.

The SP should be multiplied by 1.6 to sort of see it in "old money" terms if you took up the Offer.

greekman - 13 Nov 2006 09:33 - 22300 of 27111

bbc report on news summit worth a look.

Its the percentages that look at the packaging re waste that was the main point.
Of course you always get the idiot customer who stated he was not bothered at all re waste and its problems.
Now we know he aint got shares in SEO.

2p. All but!
The institutions 11million now worth 27.5million - all in 5 weeks.

Nice work if you can get it.

TheMaster - 13 Nov 2006 12:38 - 22303 of 27111

Sp raising again now due to holding RNS out this afternoon

moneyplus - 13 Nov 2006 13:22 - 22304 of 27111

After all this time-I'm in the blue I don't believe it!! Thanks to all of you for keeping me in and informed--the only reason I had the confidence to double up on Friday. onwards and upwards-hoping Yoo will do the same eventually.

garyble - 13 Nov 2006 13:25 - 22305 of 27111

Don't get too excited guys, no deals have been announced yet!

simon102 - 13 Nov 2006 13:28 - 22306 of 27111

What is RNS?

Oilywag - 13 Nov 2006 13:51 - 22307 of 27111

In SEO's case, a Really Naughty Story!

The oily one

Tonyrelaxes - 13 Nov 2006 14:27 - 22308 of 27111

Not sure what a Holding RNS is.

But as the Chairman promised us last monday "any RNSs will be clear, factual, actual as to what is going to happen", we should find out not only what is being held but who's it is. ;-)

StarFrog - 13 Nov 2006 14:49 - 22309 of 27111

Simon - RNS = Regulatory News Service.

Certain actions that can affect a companies share price are legally required to be reported such as directors buy/sells, announcements of AGM/EGM/Interims/Finals, etc, etc. Another example is when an investor buys enough shares in the company that they then hold more than 3% (Tony-I think this is what The Master is refering to) or sell enough that their holding drops below 3%. An RNS allows them to do this.
