The Weaker the dollar is the better for the US. Although its more important the Peso, Yen and Cad $ are weak than us.. It helps the Trade Deficit.. The only ones likely to interven are the Japanese.. Rumurs are it will be the 100 level..

Got all that from interviews that have been on CNBC over the past couple of days..

mg - 07 Dec 2004 11:57 - 2231 of 11056

Panic in Tokyo - BoJ have heard I'm short - Tora Tora !!

hilary - 07 Dec 2004 12:04 - 2232 of 11056

Actually, mg, I think that your Kamikaze style of trading against the trend might well pay off. 1.95 could prove too tough an obstacle for today.

mg - 07 Dec 2004 12:10 - 2233 of 11056

Banzai - or is that Bonzai.

About bloody time - me and that trend were beginning to fall out. If 70 goes then I reckon it's clear water down to 40 - but thereagain, I've been calling it wrong since I started playing with this flaming cable thingymybob - apart from my first foray - should never have got lucky on my first punt ;)

mg - 07 Dec 2004 12:30 - 2234 of 11056

Hmmmmmmmm TA reversal off 70 - and could still have some legs .....

chocolat - 07 Dec 2004 12:34 - 2235 of 11056

5 more minutes and I'll decide if I stick or twist...frankly, I'd rather have been short the jpy thingie

MightyMicro - 07 Dec 2004 12:40 - 2236 of 11056

choccie: I just love your dirty Forex technical talk "short the jpy thingie", not to mention "stick or twist".

Now where's that unattributed chart earlier in this thread that predicted 1.93, 2.1 then 2.4 -- it's panning out quite well, so far.

Bobcolby - 07 Dec 2004 13:09 - 2237 of 11056

Thats nice, just came back and cable knocking on 9500, raised my stop so at worst I will be all square on trade.

Bobcolby - 07 Dec 2004 14:33 - 2238 of 11056

My stop just went at 67, will be looking at long again when cable gets around 40ish

Tellon - 07 Dec 2004 14:41 - 2239 of 11056

Im done till tomorrow now.. Later all..

chocolat - 07 Dec 2004 15:00 - 2240 of 11056

Oh boy...someone cut my cable
But my jpy thingie's coming along nicely ;) How am I doing, MM?

Nice one, mg :))

mg - 07 Dec 2004 15:07 - 2241 of 11056

'bout bloody time - next stage is around 420/25 level where it fannied around yesterday - IMHO, DYOR etc etc. It would still be clearly in the ranging up-trend but be a better place for me to get out.

mg - 07 Dec 2004 15:32 - 2242 of 11056

Decided to stick with it to 380 - doesn't seem to want to stay at 20/25.

chocolat - 07 Dec 2004 16:27 - 2243 of 11056

Finally took 30 off jpy - sticking with cable long for now ;)

mg - 07 Dec 2004 17:31 - 2244 of 11056

Short again from 475 - there could, just could be a downtrend developing on the 5 minute chart - but you tend to see what you want to when you're an obsessive shorter ?8-<

[EDIT - I could have kept my mouth shut until it touched 400 - which would be a bit more robust as a confirmation - but I just wanted to share it with you all - just in case ]

hodgins - 08 Dec 2004 07:13 - 2247 of 11056

I see it has again all been happening while we have been slumbering, on the Euro and the pound

hilary - 08 Dec 2004 07:16 - 2248 of 11056

You need to be very careful with your entry today, imo, T. Fools rush in where angels fear to tread and all that. Handsitting for now.
