Sorry, I have been lurking in the cupboard eavesdropping for the last few weeks and as you can see, I don't always press the correct keys in the dark!
But I'll have some lapsang and cake please.

jeffmack - 13 Jan 2005 13:52 - 22304 of 23498

He jemadi
Welcome to the cafe. There are some odd people that get in here but most are harmless.

Are you male or female? All of the girls are real beauties and the guys are not bad either.

hilary - 13 Jan 2005 13:58 - 22305 of 23498

But you'll always be the only gay in the village, Jeffie.

:o)

jemadi - 13 Jan 2005 13:58 - 22306 of 23498

Not sure-I'll check next time I exit the cupboard but thanks for the warm welcome.Back to lurking...until I hear the 'pop' of a cork.

hilary - 13 Jan 2005 14:02 - 22307 of 23498

I was in the queue for the till at a shop the other day and the young chap behind the counter couldn't get his new till to work. The man in the queue in front of me said in a loud voice "Computer says naaaaaaaah". Everybody looked at him as if he had two heads while I fell about laughing.

jeffmack - 13 Jan 2005 14:07 - 22308 of 23498

I would have been with you Hils, but I guess thats Croydon for you.

jj50 - 13 Jan 2005 14:16 - 22309 of 23498

Afternoon everybody, welcome jemadi. Shall arrange the cork popping later!

Still no bunny, lunch menu has definitely going downhill here if newcomers are
having to resolve to tea and cake!

Priscilla - 13 Jan 2005 15:34 - 22310 of 23498

Oi! Jeffmack - who are you calling 'harmless'?

Just raided the wine cooler and 'rescued' a couple of bottles of bubbly which should go down nicely with the freshly-decorated strawberry tart which is now available for all visitors this afternoon.....

Cheers!

(Clean glasses are on the draining board, behind you).

jj50 - 13 Jan 2005 15:54 - 22311 of 23498

Priscilla - Just about to break my New Year's resolution ....
how could anybody refuse strawberry tart and bubbly - heaven :-) ..hic

jeffmack - 13 Jan 2005 16:12 - 22312 of 23498

Please note that the only wine available will be from Dromana (Aussie)
Dromana Estate Ltd

jj50 - 13 Jan 2005 16:25 - 22313 of 23498

Jeffmack - hilary wasn't giving this too high a recommendation!

Think I shall stick to what I know and leave that to the Koreans :-)

Priscilla - 13 Jan 2005 16:28 - 22314 of 23498

I agree that stuff is good enough for the boys ....but the girls will continue to order champagne (the real stuff, none of this 'ultra-premium' mumbo-jumbo).

You can't bully us!

hilary - 13 Jan 2005 16:29 - 22315 of 23498

It's hardly Pouilly Fumee ...... more like Smoked Poo.

:o)

Priscilla - 13 Jan 2005 16:37 - 22316 of 23498

Good evening, Socs! DYS is back on its northward perambulations...up 1.76% (6p)today. Cheers!

Socrates - 13 Jan 2005 17:03 - 22317 of 23498

Good evening one and all. I'm feeling a bit off peak at present so I'll just have a large dose of sherry trifle.

Priscilla
It's those old bollies again, very satisfying. Even PTG has gone up a bit today, whatever next?

little willie - 13 Jan 2005 18:43 - 22318 of 23498

Evening all..loads of newbodys appearing with the odd ? gay guy and why not.

Don't worry Jessie, we won't desert you but you can stick the Oz crap and we'll stay with beautiful South African Sauvignon Blanc & Chenin Blanc at about 2-3 per bottle for the top drawer stuff.

Sorry to hear you're feeling peakey Socs, hope the trifle does the trick.

Golddog - 13 Jan 2005 19:46 - 22319 of 23498

grevis2, sorry we could not be more help to you, but we have plenty of cake in here so please help yourself. The lovely priscilla does a great lemon drizzle.

Fundamentalist - 13 Jan 2005 19:58 - 22320 of 23498

Evening all

Had a day off from the house today - been at an auction in bredury and spent far too much!!! Went straight from there to the local italian - nice fillet medallions washed down by a chateau neuf du pape and followed with a couple of brandies.

Hils - roflmao - i never knew that about jessie - you learn something every day

jj50 - 13 Jan 2005 21:46 - 22321 of 23498

...........she rushes in flushed ............ time for a quick glass of
champagne (the good stuff, please) ..... not every evening you have a
brief encounter with poochy :-))

He's all yours now choccie/amber ...

oh, evening all BTW - sounds like a good evening Fundy and
hope you are feeling a bit better Socs.

Priscilla - 13 Jan 2005 22:36 - 22322 of 23498

Poochy......Would you care to re-phrase "The lovely priscilla does a great lemon drizzle."?

Folks might ask how you would know such a personal detail.
