After all this time-I'm in the blue I don't believe it!! Thanks to all of you for keeping me in and informed--the only reason I had the confidence to double up on Friday. onwards and upwards-hoping Yoo will do the same eventually.

garyble - 13 Nov 2006 13:25 - 22305 of 27111

Don't get too excited guys, no deals have been announced yet!

simon102 - 13 Nov 2006 13:28 - 22306 of 27111

What is RNS?

Oilywag - 13 Nov 2006 13:51 - 22307 of 27111

In SEO's case, a Really Naughty Story!

The oily one

Tonyrelaxes - 13 Nov 2006 14:27 - 22308 of 27111

Not sure what a Holding RNS is.

But as the Chairman promised us last monday "any RNSs will be clear, factual, actual as to what is going to happen", we should find out not only what is being held but who's it is. ;-)

StarFrog - 13 Nov 2006 14:49 - 22309 of 27111

Simon - RNS = Regulatory News Service.

Certain actions that can affect a companies share price are legally required to be reported such as directors buy/sells, announcements of AGM/EGM/Interims/Finals, etc, etc. Another example is when an investor buys enough shares in the company that they then hold more than 3% (Tony-I think this is what The Master is refering to) or sell enough that their holding drops below 3%. An RNS allows them to do this.

Tonyrelaxes - 13 Nov 2006 15:14 - 22310 of 27111

My last post was a bit flippant (the quote was real), but while on the topic I still feel we are due more information of shareholdings following the Firm Placing that raised 11million. I have not done the sums but that must equate to a high number of "Institutions" taking it up if they are all below 3%.

These shares came to the market last tuesday. Within what period of acquisition must such an announcement be made?

garyble - 13 Nov 2006 15:24 - 22311 of 27111

Tony,

Would be a minimum of 17 Institutions & PIs if no other RNSs are required.

StarFrog - 13 Nov 2006 15:29 - 22312 of 27111

Tony - not too sure, but I think a change to notifiable holdings must be made within 7 days. Somebody wiser than me out there could probably put us straight.

Tonyrelaxes - 13 Nov 2006 15:47 - 22313 of 27111

Gary & Star - Thanks

Seems an unlikely high number - more announcements probably due then.

patel04 - 13 Nov 2006 16:18 - 22314 of 27111

how long wait for RNS

jaguar121 - 13 Nov 2006 16:23 - 22315 of 27111

Sky News ,

right now the environmental minister is talking about the packaging problem

StarFrog - 13 Nov 2006 16:37 - 22316 of 27111

Tony - not necessarily. I think (again somebody could put us straight) that if an investor already holds more than 3% and increases that holding to (say) 4%, then they are under no obligation to inform the company and therefore no RNS is issued. The criteria is simply if the increase/decrease crosses the magic 3% threshold.

greekman - 13 Nov 2006 17:03 - 22317 of 27111

Starfrog,

Re the holding 3% and then increasing holdings. No notification required.
But can put out info if sufficient increase to effect the shares sp.

driver - 13 Nov 2006 17:11 - 22318 of 27111

Back from Bonny Scotland anyone that wants any stuff put on the Research Page post it here and I will transfer it.

CLPerry - 13 Nov 2006 17:43 - 22319 of 27111

Any comments on the buy of 27,764,721 shares @ 1.86p at 17:10 surely an RNS must follow this purchase.
Colin a long time holder and avid reader of this very informative thread

pinnacle - 13 Nov 2006 17:49 - 22320 of 27111

The 27m plus is I believe a sell and matches the one earlier this morning.

This is why the price is lower.

Someone has made a fast profit!
