Morning all, I'm a bit late this morning, been lazy and slept in. Any fresh tea?

Spaceman - 14 Jan 2005 09:46 - 22372 of 23498

LW, no I am in Oz until Sunday evening, back in the UK monday afternoon. Dont know if you have been to Oz but if you have and if it was a while ago you would be amazed at how its changed. When I first visited in 1981 it was very backward in many ways, nows its pretty modern. I love it here and this is my 13th or 14th trip, we have spent about a month here each year since about 1997.

I would like to live here for about 6 month each year but unfortunately I can only get a tourist visa which means 3 months max.

Priscilla - 14 Jan 2005 09:48 - 22373 of 23498

I'll make you some fresh tea, opto....while I watch the lovely DYS wander gracefully towards 3.66. Fresh coffee and walnut danish ring is cooling on the rack. Interested?

Spaceman - 14 Jan 2005 09:50 - 22374 of 23498

P, any chance of a nice bit of lemon drizle ready for Monday afternoon? Lambykins keeps asking for some ;-)

Iain - 14 Jan 2005 09:52 - 22375 of 23498

Space:
I spend a month each year in Rhyll.Such a tonic and! a designated area of outstanding natural ugliness :)
Iain.In no way Green and envious

Spaceman

morning priscilla

optomistic - 14 Jan 2005 09:57 - 22377 of 23498

THank you P. very interested :-)

Priscilla - 14 Jan 2005 09:58 - 22378 of 23498

I've arranged a special delivery of fresh Sicilian lemons to be delivered first thing Monday morning. Lambykins will have a cake all to himself but there'll be enough for him to share with his 'significant other' and 'close friends'.

Good morning, sleepyheads! Bacon toasties now ready and a fresh pot of coffee.

Spaceman - 14 Jan 2005 10:15 - 22379 of 23498

Fundy, yes Lambykins is here as well, its his home country, today he managed to talk himself into a personal tour of the Australian Super Consetllation aircraft, one of ony 3 still flying, I was luck he said I could come along as well, he got some pics for his website.

P, he will be so excited, I dont think I will tell him until he is on the plane on the way home ;-)

Iain, whats wrong with huddersfield? you dont want to keep venturing so far from home, anyway you should see the size of some of the doctors fingers in these parts ;-) Has Ruth arrived yet?

chocolat - 14 Jan 2005 10:52 - 22380 of 23498

G'morning!
Poochie-poo - love the pink bikini ;)

little willie - 14 Jan 2005 11:56 - 22381 of 23498

Just had lunch of Windhoek draught and a bunch of grapes, the Cape Doctor's
blowing its heart out and is making the temp bearable but hairstyles a mess.

Sounds like Cilla and Socs are doing well today, good news plus Fundy has made a bomb out of RTD.
Boy did I get out at the wrong time from that lot; saw the price falling, congratulated myself on a profit of about 18% and now would have shown 80%+!!

Spacie..very nearly settled in Perth instead of SA as similar climate etc,
no regrets, happy with our lot and not so many flies...lol...

Fundamentalist - 14 Jan 2005 12:20 - 22382 of 23498

LW

RTD has just become a triple bagger for me today :-)
would have a glass to celebrate but will leave till later

Spaceman - 14 Jan 2005 12:37 - 22383 of 23498

lw, big problem with oz is thats its so far away, at the moment Sydney is 11 hours ahead, so its a 24 hour journey to the UK and loads of jet lag when we get back.

I havnt been to SA but we plan to visit it in the not too distant future. My brother nearly ended up there last year with his work but that fell through, when he visisted he came back in love with the place so much so that I would not be surprised if he didnt move there in the next couple of years.

Priscilla - 14 Jan 2005 14:43 - 22384 of 23498

Coffee and walnut cake cooling on the rack for tea for later. Bit earlier today but have an appointment to cut the locks. Desperately needed as I look like the Dulux dog on speed at the moment! Happy tea-time cafettes!

jj50 - 14 Jan 2005 15:03 - 22385 of 23498

Don't think I can wait Priscilla - smells fantastic :=)

Personally, I long to look like the Dulux dog having the flat kipper spaniel hair myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

chocolat - 14 Jan 2005 16:59 - 22386 of 23498

Lovely and shiny it is too, jj.. :)

Socrates - 14 Jan 2005 18:42 - 22387 of 23498

Hello all, sorry I'm late in today but it was my turn to buy the doughnuts at work. For the uninitiated, buying the doughnuts is a duty when one has a birthday. Yes old Socks is one year older today so I'll let you buy the drinks for me.

I'm still not on top line but Priscilla made me feel a lot better with the news about DYS, I just wish I had a few thousand more of them.

Fundy
I hope you have a tame electrician to sign off your electrical installation to comply with the new regulations when its all finished. Still, it should only cost a small fortune, not a large one.
