THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Super, smashing, great. Does anyone know if the new pope plays darts?

Fred1new - 18 Mar 2013 17:38 - 22369 of 81564

Oh dear.

Another lost part of the Empire.

cynic - 18 Mar 2013 18:44 - 22370 of 81564

pretty questionable, but assuredly there can be no question at all that the residents wish to stay part of uk, nor that argentina have declared a total disinterest (read as disdain) in what those people want, not that it is in the gift of argentina either way

cynic - 18 Mar 2013 19:34 - 22375 of 81564

Haystack - 18 Mar 2013 19:46 - 22376 of 81564

Sounds delicious. I have always been partial to Fleurie, but it is somewhat variable in quality. Where do you get yours?

dreamcatcher - 18 Mar 2013 19:48 - 22377 of 81564

Analysis - No quick fix for Britain's overloaded infrastructure

LONDON | Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:25pm GMT
(Reuters) - After heavy rainfall, raw sewage gushes into the River Thames from a network of dank sewers beneath the streets of London.

A Victorian-era problem that has never been fixed, the cobweb-laced tunnels just metres from a new underground railway station at Blackfriars underscore Britain's infrastructure backlog.

For now, workers known as "flushers" struggle to keep the flow of waste clear from used wet-wipes and congealed cooking fat.

TANKER - 19 Mar 2013 08:19 - 22381 of 81564

LEVERSON. so now the MPs have made sure that the press can no longer report
them from breaking the law stealing tax payers money .and fiddling there taxes
OSBORNE said he did not pay the 50P tax

WAS HE TELLING LIES OR FIDDLING IS TAXES
THE TAX MAN WILL TURN A BLIND EYE AND WILL NOT ASK ANY QUESTION OF ANY MP they can do anything now without being caught

the public have been stuffed by a corrupt uk government

cynic - 19 Mar 2013 09:41 - 22382 of 81564

Pretty much what you expect in a recession, especially when the EU countries are in a far worse state than we are. Overall, it looks pretty good allowing for current conditions. Osborne looks to be doing a good job.

It would certainly be a lot worse with a left leaning government.

Fred1new - 19 Mar 2013 12:33 - 22385 of 81564

I think George should blame the Cypriots for the Uk's economic disaster.

Haystack - 19 Mar 2013 12:39 - 22386 of 81564

The new Levels on regulations are unlikely to do much. It is interesting to note that all the events that caused the Leveson were investigated and people charged under legislation that already existed. None of the events investigated by Leveson would be referred to any new regulatory framework.

Fred1new - 19 Mar 2013 13:06 - 22387 of 81564

Noticed that Cameron didn't turn up for the last negotiation night.

Probably protecting his ------- as usual.

Mind the Press seem enthusiastic about the decisions.

Cameron reminds me more and more of Blair, out of touch and should be concentrating on his legacy.
