of course i am .... see post 2234

spitfire43 - 14 Feb 2008 18:41 - 2239 of 3050

unfortunately I was out this afternoon so missed sola turning down, hopefully I should have a chance in morning to short.

I have a short running on GAW based on awful fundamentals and over valuation, check out last weeks article in share mag, worth a look. Just closed a short on KGF, maybe to early as could be more to go for.

Tempted with shorts for RYA and IHG, Marriot Hotels had 4th quarter results today, which didn't look that good at first glance, but will wait for comments before shorting IHG.

Would be interested to hear views on these ideas.

cynic - 15 Feb 2008 13:18 - 2240 of 3050

thought i would post a simple chart .... unfortuantely, i think PTH has disappeared for a little while, as his charts and interpretations are much better and sophisticated than my simple offerings

Down nearly 7% in the US, Nice.

cynic - 16 Feb 2008 08:16 - 2242 of 3050

goldfinger - 20 Feb 2008 11:51 - 2243 of 3050

shorts going very well again.

You in cynic?.

cynic - 20 Feb 2008 11:54 - 2244 of 3050

i am indeed ..... initially prematurely at 276, but topped up (an oxymoron i guess) by 40% at 308, so now almost b/e

goldfinger - 21 Feb 2008 01:29 - 2245 of 3050

Good to see you in cyners.

BigTed - 21 Feb 2008 08:59 - 2246 of 3050

dont forget thats eastern time, they were effectively following the performance here, thats not to say its not going to fall later...!

BigTed - 22 Feb 2008 09:20 - 2247 of 3050

Showing strength this morning, may open short if 300 fails again...

cynic - 22 Feb 2008 10:34 - 2248 of 3050

seems that Goldman Sachs upped the stock to buy with target of 360

HARRYCAT - 26 Feb 2008 09:56 - 2249 of 3050

It will be interesting to see if the performance of the U.S. listing is mirrored in the U.K.
"Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- ReneSola Ltd., the world's largest recycler of scrap wafers used in solar panels, jumped in New York trading after being upgraded to ``buy'' from ``neutral'' at Goldman Sachs Group Inc."
Looks like the SOLA shorters have moved on to new pastures???

cynic - 26 Feb 2008 10:02 - 2250 of 3050

but that is nearly a week ago ..... subsequently SOLA have failed to break upwards, or downwards for that matter ..... i am still short, but partly as a hedge as i still do not trust the markets and indices are now approaching some fairly tough hurdles

HARRYCAT - 26 Feb 2008 12:09 - 2251 of 3050

Tricky to know if the sp will stop at the 220p level, which is presumably where the shorters are aiming for?

cynic - 26 Feb 2008 14:59 - 2252 of 3050

would be very happy to take my profit at that point

goldfinger - 27 Feb 2008 09:26 - 2253 of 3050

Short going very well, this looks like we have further to fall.

Results last year late April so theres a good chance that we may see further falls.

goldfinger - 03 Mar 2008 12:23 - 2254 of 3050

Could it be that the support at 260p has finally been breached?.

ptholden - 03 Mar 2008 19:12 - 2255 of 3050

Personally I don't think there ever was support at 260p. Refer to the last chart I posted, somewhere in the region of 200p was always the target.

cynic - 03 Mar 2008 21:23 - 2256 of 3050

hi peter ..... no doubt you warmer than we are!

goldfinger - 04 Mar 2008 01:32 - 2257 of 3050

Cheers PTH i feel better for that.
