just hope that this departure is not caused by those two screwing up one of the potential contracts!!!!! FT last week mentionned that macdonalds was about to enter into a contract with seo on starwrap. How come nothing is on the table yet?(after all if FT know the story then this event has to be imminent)

I think it was inevitable that IB and HW had to step aside given the lack of progress and destruction of the mkt. cap. over the last 6 months. The emergency Placing so soon after the market was tapped for money before is reason enough for the City's lack of confidence. It might want the FD's head as well. I am interested in seeing who will be appointed to the Board since that will give a good pointer as to whether the institution tyhink SEO is a long term investment or they are in it for a quick turn round and then sell.

Just heard the bit re the Queens speech re climate change/environment and it appears the government are trying as expected to out do the Tories on the issue.
The issue was one of the main subjects mentioned.
OK, personally I don't think any politician cares about anything apart from his/her next pay cheque and expenses, but if the environmental issue means votes the government will want to be seen as the greener party. At least attempt to cut said emissions will be made.
In my opinion the best way to be seen to do something is cutting waste. Penalties for more wasteful companies, and higher costs to dispose of said waste, cant do SEO's case any harm.
Its a shame we cant bottle all the hot air put out by politicians. If we did we could heat the whole planet.
There so full of wind I know where I would stick a wind farm.

Hi folk! Been on the sidelines for a while but its getting interesting. Most encouraging thing is MoneyPlus coming on board: an angel not a fool!
Agree SD that HW and IB still on board. My take is that Schroders are likely to be in the driving street as they have taken a holding themselves and brought in two Pension Fund clients; there will have been a price to pay and that will have been effective control. I thing I am right in saying that they like to separate the Board with strategic and governance responsibility from operation management. IB and HW will have a lot of valuable knowledge re technical cpability and the markets.
I think it would be surprising if there was an early announcement re a sale: a major client would want evidence of stability; also if a sale was so near why not buy the business to help the share issue price? Re the discussion on private investors holding a balance, I suspect that is unlikely because most of the take up will have been institutional. My take of Schroders is that they will want to get the company in a stable state which means a small number of significant clients plus sound plans for, for instance, Greenseal. That must take some time. They will then want to package it for sale, perhaps even a management buyout given that management is signifcantly strengthened by then. They will not be looking for a quick profit so that they will not be keen to see the volatility from speculation.
If my take is right, SEO should be a sound investment with a one year view. Short-term, there must be a lot of hot money wanting to take profits as in the last 24 hours. Personally, having been twice bitten I am 4 times shy: generally too quick on the buy button, so I'll bide my time.

driver, you forgot to mention Aldwickk, tfc and others of the same ilk as well.
Aaah, those were the days!
Mind if the sp keeps sliding, I'm sure that they will emerge from their hibernation.

Eric,
Welcome back. Thought you had taken any profits and bought yourself a private island somewhere and gone native.
Good post, by the way.

Eric - sounds about right. Institutions are not going to take a quick buck from here when they can get a slow few bucks. Although Fidelity does have a bit of an opportunistic trader mentality on occasions.
As ever, we are waiting on critical news about board, staff, orders, jv's and future earnings, all things that must be well analysed and discussed internally by now. So it's a pig in a poke for the PI just now. Have to say 1.50p is very tempting (could get my average down from 9.45p to 5p for a very modest sum at that price) , but better to take a smaller position at a higher price when there is a good deal more certainty in the air.
Still - at least it's creating genuine interest and thought on the BB for once.

With the balance of Buys to sells so heavily on the size of buys for quite a while, where are all the shares to buy coming from?
Perhaps SEO is printing them on biodegradable paper.
Just a thought.

Why are peeps selling? Do they imagine after putting all that money up the institutions have just made a bad couple of decisions?
Ask yourselves, after IB and HW leave the main board, is SEO a better or worse investment.
According to 98% of the posts above, it should be better.
Uncertainty may be a downer, but if you've been in as long as most holders at much higher prices, what is it in the latest news that finally decides you to sell?
So it must be short-termers who got in at 1p+ recently. There can't be that many of them and they will soon be washed through. Then which way will the SP go?
PI's getting what they deserve again because human psychology leads them to buy high and sell low!
What am I missing here?

Some of those who took up the placements have made over 100%, Very tempting to move on.
The growth rate will be slightly slower for the rest of us mortals.
