My last post was good, but not that good!

The oily one

hewittalan6 - 16 Nov 2006 16:46 - 22508 of 27111

Given the quality of his flight plans and how closely he stuck to them he has been downgraded to a baggage handler.

Oilywag - 16 Nov 2006 16:48 - 22509 of 27111

Would you let him handle your baggage?

Does you wife know that?

The oily one

hewittalan6 - 16 Nov 2006 16:52 - 22510 of 27111

The wife is my baggage.
(I'm safe - shes packing for our move).

See what I mean, we are all confused, nobody really knows whats going on. The prospects are great, just hope we live long enough to enjoy the rewards !!!!

Amongst other factors, a lot of institutional investors, merchant bankers (cockney rhyming bit there), brokers, etc have managed to make a fast buck over the last few weeks by buying in low just before the rights issue and then taking up their entitlements at 0.8p. On Monday and Tuesday the sp shot up with all the governmental spin on green issues, recycling and how supermarkets could end global warming if they just stopped overly packaging things. Consequently, a lot of city boys managed to get profits of 100% plus on their SEO holdings. So why did they sell them now? Don't they believe in the company? Maybe, maybe not. The point is, Christmas is looming and so are those bonuses. If they can show their bosses big profits on their books they get a much bigger Christmas bonus.

That, I believe, is part of the answer. But I'm a cynic (but not cynic!).

Now No 1 on the leaders board 319,602,833 traded

archiveman - 16 Nov 2006 17:14 - 22516 of 27111

Thanks for that StarFrog. I've been following SEO the last few days - and everything was pretty much making sense - until today, when there were those massive trades and ... the price was either going the wrong way to what I expected - or no way at all! Any ideas on that?

ths - 16 Nov 2006 17:17 - 22517 of 27111

Good ! So they have time to jerk it up one more time for an even bigger bonus

maestro - 16 Nov 2006 17:34 - 22518 of 27111

the reason it keeps going up in waves is because you can spread bet this stock for very little deposit...been talkin to a city trader and he says they are all piling in and riding the wave then shorting and then piling back in again like today

hewittalan6 - 16 Nov 2006 21:24 - 22519 of 27111

Well thats it from me till after the weekend. House move tomorrow, so I can almost guarantee a hot news day with seismic activity on the SP, based on no more than I will be away from any action!!!

StarFrog and maestro make sense. 300m is unlikely to be all profit-taking from share issue (though some is likely to be) so has to be churning. Get the price down, close position, let slip a rumour re MacD or al., and so on. Probably a good situation to play these games. As an investor, the danger is you buy in on the up-trend thinking it is the real thing. My position is that nothing substantial will be revealed this side of Xmas - then the risk is just that of not being in on the act if it does happen.

Today's close should give a more accurate guide to medium long term holders position once the speculators have closed out for the weekend

bhunt1910 - 17 Nov 2006 08:38 - 22522 of 27111

Good Luck with the move Alan

kimoldfield - 17 Nov 2006 10:44 - 22523 of 27111

By the time Alan reads this, his house move will have gone like clockwork, nothing broken, all boxes unpacked and everything fitted exactly into place; he will be sitting with a glass of champagne staring at SEO's sp which will be 10p. Well..............in a perfect world he would be!

If Carlsberg did moves and ran Stanelco .....

kimoldfield - 17 Nov 2006 12:09 - 22525 of 27111

Lol THS!
kim

stockdog - 17 Nov 2006 12:36 - 22526 of 27111

Think Alan's planning to complete his move a little sooner than that, Kim!
