moneyplus - 20 Nov 2006 13:02 - 22565 of 27111

My family think I'm sad as well! jim-what is the company then if I can't do it through selftrade and how easy is it to get your money out? I assume as it's trading there is no CGT.

FONTY - 20 Nov 2006 13:21 - 22566 of 27111

Yes what is this super company?

jimward9 - 20 Nov 2006 13:29 - 22567 of 27111

As yet i have not tried to take out any funds, i would expect to pay tax on any gains.
After the year end my plan is to move extra funds into the account let it run upto 100k then if they can still make 10%+ per month, allow 40% for the tax man 30% for me and 30% to build the fund.
Untill the one year is up (December) and have talked to them more i will not pass on their name.

Am away to london for the rest of the week will see you next week, please push SEO up over 2p while i am away.

bhunt1910 - 20 Nov 2006 14:08 - 22568 of 27111

Ah Jim - I think thats really mean.

I remember that happening (many years ago) when 16 year olds use to show you the fruit - only to deny it until much later !!!!b

There is such a word for now what was it

only joking of course - you do what you have to do

Big Ted - 20 Nov 2006 14:40 - 22569 of 27111

someone dont believe you....!!! if they giving that much gain, why bother with seo...?!!!

aldwickk - 20 Nov 2006 15:14 - 22570 of 27111

If he only invested 2,000 with them, the cost of trading must have been high and i can't see why he won't name the company.

greekman - 20 Nov 2006 17:08 - 22571 of 27111

Probably wont do any good but cant do any harm either.
I have sent the following E-Mail to ASDA customer services.

Will post any reply, but not holding my breath.

As a regular customer of ASDA (HULL) I am concerned that ASDA are appearing to lag behind other supermarkets in the Green issue.
Sainsbury's have a far higher percentage of packaging that is biodegradable.
Tesco has mentioned cutting packaging waste.
I hear very little from ASDA re this issue.
My 2 children are pestering me to go more green as this subject is being discussed at schools and colleges.
What are if any ASDA's future green plans.
Thanks in advance re any reply.

ALCHEMY - 20 Nov 2006 19:34 - 22572 of 27111

greekman, interested to hear how you get on with Asda customer services. I am currently trying to find out some info direct with Asda as i work for a company in Asda's supply chain. Will update here as and when.

alfalfa - 20 Nov 2006 23:46 - 22573 of 27111

greekman - A half-page article appeared in last Tuesday's Guardian, prompted by the minister's suggestions to leave any perceived excess packaging at the point of sale, i.e. at the supermarket tills.

A spokesman for ASDA described the minister's call as "an interesting development.....although they werent sure how helpful it was".

On the other hand, ASDA said it was making small changes which have a big impact - such as taking pizzas out of cardboard boxes which will save 747 tonnes of cardboard each year.

The bit that made me sit up was the statement from ASDA that they were also "rolling out the best recycling machines in the world".

Anyone know who might make these ?

Alfa.

greekman - 21 Nov 2006 07:15 - 22574 of 27111

Alfa,
Been following all the issues including the articles mentioned.
Although I am aware of ASDA's green policies,I thought showing complete ignorance of said issues/policies would serve my enquiry best.
Lets hope those 9 highlighted words from your post mean what we hope they mean.
Greek.

greekman - 21 Nov 2006 07:34 - 22575 of 27111

Just put ASDA into google news and found a link to my post 22571.

"Probably wont do any good but cant do any harm either".
May encourage others to contact ASDA customer services.

(fame at last).

alfalfa - 21 Nov 2006 08:43 - 22576 of 27111

Nice one, greekman.

I hope so, too - but I'm sure that New Earth Solutions are having a say in it.

SEO - Mid 1.545p
Reason - Had a 33% retracement since reaching 2p last week, and now is moving higher again, though on lower volume, stochastic at oversold again and RSI bouncing from 50.

this is like a poker game - tension is building wondering which way this will be going!

bhunt1910 - 21 Nov 2006 09:07 - 22579 of 27111

Long term this will rise.

Short term - who knows

stockdog - 21 Nov 2006 10:17 - 22580 of 27111

Chart could be a shallow cup and handle forming. If we break 2p we'll go to 3p quite soon - IF!

boldtrader - 21 Nov 2006 12:15 - 22581 of 27111

Good luck to all holding, ever being the optimist i think we'll make it. Cheers.
