have small short on FTSE from friday night too
suspect i have rather missed out on DOO .... could have sold at 57 this morning but dithered

almost feel like selling almost all long postions, but that would be very foolish.
even though the markets are grim indeed, and may even be heading a long way south, there will still be some strong upward days

I can't access my own chart software at the moment (loafing in the Middle East sun) but it would appear that SOLA has more or less slid down the trendline I identified in post 2221. With a current SP of 232p (at the time of posting) I think any shorters should be keeping a very close eye on their positions. Somewhere in the region of 200-220p will perhaps provide support and although I haven't looked at any indicators, I would think most must be approaching oversold.

unless i have misread, SOLA ADRs suffered quite a heavy sell-of after London close

China Solar stocks hammered after this went out in the USA ????? ;)

despite a truly massive rise on Dow and a further 100+ point rise in London, SOLA has easily pulled pulled back from its early high of 224 to 217

Financial Results on March 19

sure glad i banked my (short) profit last night

with sp approaching 25 dma at 260, nearly time to consider shorting again, unless you believe that Dow will continue is headlong rush upwards ..... (today) watch 12400 and/or 12350 for direction

unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and full year
ended December 31, 2007 before the U.S. market opens on March 19, 2008.

have just shorted at around 256, half with a guaranteed stop ..... the figures will be out before 13:00 today, so it will be interesting to see what the analysts make of SOLA's prognostications for the coming year

why should there be?

with Dow now looking determined to head north, which will then drag FTSE with it, have closed that short position at 226.25 ..... that'll bring a smile to the bank manager's face

dissappointing day yet again had high hopes with renesola,may be tomorrow.

more to the point, it now looks very much that i closed my short too early, though a decent profit such as that achieved should never be sneezed at
