RTD - Why? (RTD)

Nitefly - 15 Sep 2003 10:55

Why are we again at 10.5p bid?

It doesn't add up...

Good Results + Strong buying pre results + Christmas online buying soon = Price drop

Then again some companies that have debt for equity hanging in the balance, poor results and bankruptcy around the corner and they go up!

Why sell now at a loss?

Wont that be a kick in the teeth when we see 13.5p 14p again!

Best of luck all.

pjstanton - 30 Mar 2005 09:22 - 2270 of 2406

Any news as to why the sudden drop, over 4% !! ??

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 09:33 - 2271 of 2406

2004/5 CGT profit taking - watch the bounce back after 5th April.

skyhigh - 30 Mar 2005 09:38 - 2272 of 2406

nothing in particular... it's just going down in line with the market drop and most small caps/aim stks..gov. not doing anything to make shares an attractive way of investing. maybe the new fin. yr will help create a more positive context.. but then there's an election looming-will hold sentiment down (imho)

daves dazzlers - 30 Mar 2005 09:58 - 2273 of 2406

Still a bit to go yet for myself 26 and counting who knows ,lol all .

skyhigh - 30 Mar 2005 10:20 - 2274 of 2406

it's grim all round this morning most of my shares are showing red (again!)

Fred1new - 30 Mar 2005 10:26 - 2275 of 2406

Just try thinking of the shares as giving out a rosy glow!!

daves dazzlers - 30 Mar 2005 10:28 - 2276 of 2406

And feel the heat!

pachandl - 30 Mar 2005 12:12 - 2277 of 2406

HL Penny Share Prophet (March) raises RTD to a "Strong Buy" (assuming 31.5p offer) bearing in mind the "much better than expected" results - "the future looks promising".

skyhigh - 30 Mar 2005 12:29 - 2278 of 2406

Pachandl....good info.. let's hope that it starts to climb next week after the new fin. yr starts...I'm staying in for now..

Fundamentalist - 30 Mar 2005 12:32 - 2279 of 2406

Has anyone had a copy of the full set of results yet - they should be out by now ?

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 13:11 - 2280 of 2406

Fund - I guess they'll be posted on the website first - nothing there yet.

overgrowth - 31 Mar 2005 14:28 - 2281 of 2406

Looks as though the bargain hunters are now in snapping up RTD after the end of year CGT sell-off.

I suspect that there will lots of people buying RTD next week at the start of the new tax year and stuffing it away into ISAs - that should bring the price back to the more sensible 33-34p range.

pachandl - 31 Mar 2005 14:56 - 2282 of 2406

O/G - I think the tax year starts next Tuesday (for CGT purposes).

overgrowth - 31 Mar 2005 15:00 - 2283 of 2406

Not long to go pachandl and look at the price being marked up already in anticipation - if you want a bargain get in quick!

pachandl - 31 Mar 2005 15:28 - 2284 of 2406

I'm already in. I hope it is not marked up too highly as some might be tempted to sell before Tuesday and lock in any CGT. 1p per week will do me.

check out the aussie fuel price rise over the last 3 months

overgrowth - 01 Apr 2005 22:48 - 2286 of 2406

Impressive - great to think that all those $'s will be feeding RTD's coffers, looking very healthy indeed for this FY.

Good fortunes with the Aus $ exchange rates could well lead to another bullish trading statement later in the year, plus we've got all profits from the new e-commerce deals in the US which will be filtering through.

Longer term, still well on target for a share price of 1+ as far as I can see.
