little willie - 08 Oct 2003 09:00 - 2275 of 23498

Morning all
Another great day in paradise; its supposed to be 28-30 degrees today, just like you had for so long a few weeks ago but we have air con tro cool the brow plus Amstel et al but no Pedigree or London Pride alas.

Nice to heare from 'The Dawg' after so long, will he return whence he came or stick around, s'pose it depends on his parole conditions!

Hils..will mail you but busy all day today, big golf comp!
How would a leg of karroo lamb plus aforementioned trimmings grab you?
Actually no runners or baby broad beans here; got baby carotts, pumpkin, butternut etc and gallons of wonderful crisp and dry whites.

Have a good 'un everybody

hilary - 08 Oct 2003 10:09 - 2276 of 23498

Welcome back, GoldDog. The changes to the header haven't gone unnoticed, so I hope it means that you're back for good. Take That.

:-)

No problem, lw, though I haven't got a clue what karroo lamb is. Has there been some interbreeding between the sheep and the Joeys in your neck of the woods? Keep the whites on ice for me.

This_is_me - 08 Oct 2003 10:10 - 2277 of 23498

GD

Good to hear a familiar bark.

Don't touch the mushrooms started growing on a pair of old socs in the corner of the bog and spread over the floor in the 'ladies'- LW has an outlet for them in SA which has paid the tea room bills while you have been gone.

vasey - 08 Oct 2003 14:05 - 2278 of 23498

It's the Lesser-Spotted-Poochy! Welcome back. I think I'll just have a glass of champagne to recover from this surprise.... A very big glass.

stockbunny - 08 Oct 2003 15:53 - 2279 of 23498

Question - Does the Dog chase rabbits? If so I'm out of here!

This_is_me - 08 Oct 2003 15:59 - 2280 of 23498

LW

Having a similar problem to you - SEG announced this morning that profits would be 20% above expectation and the price is 4% down; that is probably worse than YGP

Socrates - 08 Oct 2003 18:13 - 2281 of 23498

T-I-M
There is an old saying, buy on the rumour, sell on the news. Probably applies in to SEG.

'Evening all.
Vasey, did you empty that bottle? My sherry trifle needs livening up and a dose of VC would do the trick nicely.

Hi all
Hightone - What I know about Bollinger Bands is not enough to base your investment decisions on. Both your shares look reasonable to me but I think I prefer GXN because of it's rising trend. IQE is a bit more volatile but I think it may have a bit more northwards legs on it. IMHO DYOR Disclaimer etc.

Is the teapot hot, I could do with a good cuppa?

Where is that Golddog, not been eaten by that Crocodile has he?

Now I'm feeling hungry too, give me an alligator sandwich and make it snappy (the old ones are the best, jokes that is not sandwiches).

[:-)

vasey - 08 Oct 2003 23:22 - 2289 of 23498

....and some champagne to wash that lot down with, Socks?

Talking of bollinger bands, are they tightening on DYS yet? Sort of getting to the edge of the channel and I thought should go up again soon if all going to plan.

I've put an extra bottle of champagne in the chiller for TulletJ as he is doing the graveyard shift and patrolling the threads from 3am... so no dognapping it, GD!

hilary - 09 Oct 2003 12:49 - 2290 of 23498

Isn't a Bollinger band a pop group that like drinking champagne?
