folks...i seem to ahve the US setting on my keyboard at home.......how do i change it..if i want the # key i get something different.......any ideas?

Treble: Assuming XP. Go to Control Panel - Regional & Language Options - select English(United Kingdom).

Note, if you've got two language options selected, you can switch between them using LeftAlt+Shift, which you may have done by accident.

Try to clean out your unnesessary data/temp files (particularily web cache) and then de-frag your disk using the XP tools for these 2 tasks. I use Fix-It myself but I understand that XP Cleanup & De-frag work well. Your data's probably all over the place now. That should make it quicker.

Folks, just to go back to my TFT screen question last night, how do I adjust the refresh rate?

The on screen menu has a display at the bottom which says
2: Digital Input
Resolution1024x768 75Hz
Optimum 1280x1024 60Hz

It also has options for Brightness, (positioning not available), image settings, color (sic) settings, osd settings, language, (audio not available), factory reset.

Have tried the factory reset to no avail.

I remember the display being crisper that my old Iiyama crt screen - well it isn't now, and the warranty's nearly up!

Can anyone help?

Sc, you need the 60Hz setting I dont know how you set it on that screen though? you should be able to set the graphics card to 60hz from Right Click on the desktop then select properties then settings then advanced then under the monitor tab.

Spaceman, thanks, just done that. No better :-( the screen doesn't appear to have an option. Now you've shown me how to adjust the graphics card I can play with that, won't do any harm will I?

SC can you post the exact model of your screen? you need to use the native resolution to get the best from a TFT. I can do a bit of digging if you post the details.

It states input 50-60Hz 1.5A.

SC, Ok I will have a look by the way the 50-60 hz there relates to the mains frequency not the refres rate.

SC, in the settings as above can you make sure the resolution is set to 1280x1024, use the digital connection if possible. 1280x1024 is the native resolution. Refresh should be 60hz
