Spaceman, thanks, just done that. No better :-( the screen doesn't appear to have an option. Now you've shown me how to adjust the graphics card I can play with that, won't do any harm will I?

Thanks for your patience.

Spaceman - 20 Oct 2004 23:24 - 2283 of 11003

SC can you post the exact model of your screen? you need to use the native resolution to get the best from a TFT. I can do a bit of digging if you post the details.

Seymour Clearly - 20 Oct 2004 23:28 - 2284 of 11003

Thanks. It's a Dell 1703 FP HAS (the HAS only means height adjustable stand)
It states input 50-60Hz 1.5A.

Thanks again.

Spaceman - 20 Oct 2004 23:31 - 2285 of 11003

SC, Ok I will have a look by the way the 50-60 hz there relates to the mains frequency not the refres rate.

Seymour Clearly - 20 Oct 2004 23:33 - 2286 of 11003

Dohhh! What do I know..

If we ever meet let me buy you a drink or three!!

Spaceman - 20 Oct 2004 23:35 - 2287 of 11003

SC, in the settings as above can you make sure the resolution is set to 1280x1024, use the digital connection if possible. 1280x1024 is the native resolution. Refresh should be 60hz

Seymour Clearly - 20 Oct 2004 23:39 - 2288 of 11003

Wow. That's sharp. Bloody small letters though. Yes, am using the digital connection.

Tim I believe, you'll be a friend forever. Thanks, Rob.

Can I get the letters bigger in any way?

Didn't think so.

edit, actually already getting used to it, nice... :-))))

All: I wish I knew what had been removed, particulary in view of Kayak's tantalising reference . . .

On edit: and even that has now been removed . . . history is being rewritten before my eyes -- or shouldn't I mention eyes?

Spaceman - 21 Oct 2004 00:17 - 2301 of 11003

Derek, the wonders of editing ;-) you should have a PM !!
