Lovely, thanks. Must be colder outside than I realized. Don't look round, Snowey, but there's a polar bear warming his bum at the log fire. I've made him a pile of buttered toast and some bourbon biscuits. Well-mannered bear. He said 'thank you!'

I am in sevenoaks at the moment and its about 3C colder than Hastings, no snow though but it looks as though there has been a bit of rain.

OK second swiss roll is now ready for eating. This one's chocolate, with black cherry and kirsch cream inside. Don't worry, I've taken the stones out of the cherries.

Whats wrong with welsh cakes is there any on the menu today.

Don't think I've ever eaten a Welsh cake but I wouldn't try to bake something I couldn't pronounce. But I'll try one if you make it!

Its not to bad dealing with the mice as I am pretty sure there is only one in Hastings and that one came down from sevenoaks. Its been here for nearly a week now and I havnt seen any sign of it since it woke me up in bed. There was only one caught in Sevenoaks so we might be near the end of this game !

Just got back to hastings and its cold!
