Maintenance: Site downtime Friday 6th August @ 23:45.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 05 Aug 2004 13:18

Hello.

Since the switch over we have had a few teething issues, so to save you reading all the posts on this thread, ill list the ones that have been found, and when they have been fixed, cross them out. If things are not working despite being 'fixed', ill put them back on the list.

MoneyAM Website
Closing bid/offer prices skewed
Charts: OHLC not being saved, breaking candle sticks.
Market Scan issues.

If there is any that I have missed, please let us know.

J.

I couldn`t agree more. Just logged in after a hour on the beach and thought I had scooped. Please go back to old system. If it aint broke etc etc.
Probably be a good idea to please your audience while ADVFN is in trouble.

Re : my previous post. My ETQ stock finished with a 2% gain but with this new system the stockwatch is showing unchange and therefore the chart line is flat for the day and is not showing the tick up. No candlestick for today in the charts as well.

Bullshare - 10 Aug 2004 16:55 - 231 of 616

Suehelen/Oakapples: I see what you mean; We will take a look.

amana - 10 Aug 2004 16:57 - 232 of 616

Again today after 4.30pm everything totally inaccurate in stockwatch and portfolio. No news buttons again and system so slow it is difficult to move around the site!

SueHelen - 10 Aug 2004 16:58 - 233 of 616

Thankyou Bullshare. We don't want it to stay like ample's after market closes.

Oakapples142 - 10 Aug 2004 17:08 - 234 of 616

Its thanks from me too Bullshare - hope it dosn`t spoil your evening - mind you mine hasn`t started to well and now I am trying to get the cork back into the Champagne bottle.

SueHelen - 10 Aug 2004 17:14 - 235 of 616

Which stock were you celebrating on Oakapples from your initial reaction, I think one of mine (QTR) is showing the highest gains, it really finished unchange but it is now showing 53.85% up for the day because the last market maker signed off with 3.50 pence on the offer. They all prices on market makers books.

Sutre - 10 Aug 2004 17:22 - 236 of 616

Bullshare - thanks - understand the emotions you must have been through over the last few days.

Had similiar experience of rolling out real-time systems in the Water Industry. Despite extensive offline testing you can guarantee it's the user, on the 'live' system, who will find the problems, in particular the effects of large numbers of users 'loading' the system.

Agree with SueHelen and Oakapples that we need to have reliable close of market information on the stockwatch.

STORMCALLER - 10 Aug 2004 18:28 - 237 of 616

Bullshare,
Re SueHelen's post, I guess it may be related, change on day (price & %) differs between stockwatch and portfolio, despite quoting the same closing price. Could you possibly fit that into your "look" as well please.

cgroves - 10 Aug 2004 20:05 - 238 of 616

Can anyone recommend an alternative service for quotes?
Thanks

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 10 Aug 2004 22:01 - 239 of 616

cgroves,

I think you should give us another chance while we iron out the remaining bugs. If you care to email me: spooky@moneyam.com I can discuss this with you?

J.

Seymour Clearly - 10 Aug 2004 22:21 - 240 of 616

cgroves, I think one thing you'll notice here is that if there is a problem the guys, espec TulletJ, are onto it quick and are very responsive to problems. Over time this site continues to improve and innovate so give them a chance :-)

DukeOfMilan - 10 Aug 2004 23:03 - 241 of 616

Seymour Clearly,
I would like to endorse the sentiment, I haven't posted through this most recent affair, just followed the instructions supplied to others. I have observed closely as it unfolded and the team have worked very hard. I can speak from experience of a recent problem I had, attention was very prompt and a solution quickly supplied.
I would certainly like to register my thanks for their efforts on both counts.

I would like to echo the sentiments of the last 2 BB'ers, but would also like an answer to cgroves' question.

Tokyo - 11 Aug 2004 07:40 - 243 of 616

just to let you know portofolio is still showing wrong prices

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 11 Aug 2004 07:46 - 244 of 616

Tokyo,

That should be fixed along with another issue today. It is to do with the close prices...

Tokyo - 11 Aug 2004 07:57 - 245 of 616

The stockwatch page seems to carry over trades from a previous occssion.

Case in point is HNR.

Looking at the trades live stream it shows all buys, the stockwatch shows 3 million, (or was it 2 million), sold.

The sells do not appear to have happened. Confusing to any holder who may panic sell as a result.

Everything else is just peachy!

photon - 11 Aug 2004 08:11 - 247 of 616

WAP prices
when you select stocks and stream the prices, they now show the last trade rather than the mid price
this is a nightmare as you can rarely tell exactly what the stock price is!
many small stocks move significantly before large trades are reported and thus there is a double distorting effect
please return this to mid prices
thank you

2Richard2 - 11 Aug 2004 08:22 - 248 of 616

On Stockwatch the cumulative volume trades column is being updated but not the Buy or Sell columns.
Is this a bug currently being sorted?
