A 'new regime'? Isn't that what we're supposed to think? Distance the past crap from the present? My opinion is that until I see something differrent I assume nothing has changed. I've seen nothing different - no deals , no income, just talk.

And I used to be accused of ramping! Just check back the posts in Aug/Sept.

Eric, with all due respect, when the proverbial was really hitting the fan (Aug. to Nov) you were nowhere to be seen - not a single post. Now you ride in on your white charger and ramp like the son of PM1. To be honest, no disrespect, but you're getting up my nose because you were nowhere to be seen when the going was rough, now SEO cant do a thing wrong!

I think, as I have said before, that until I see some cash coming in,I believe the whole open offer/money raising issue was more about prolonging the agony than turning a profit, no matttter what Eric/Schroders may like us to beleive.

Sorry, all (and where is Alan Hewitt who daily, by his absence, looks suspiciously like a serial ramper) but I remain pessimistic and cynical of the whole SEO 'dream'.

Currently 50K + down. How about you, Eric? From what gains/losses are your comments coming?

Dont be shy - let us know! 50 or 50k?

Stanelco plc (the Company)

Personnel Update

Stanelco is pleased to announce that Dave Wetters has joined the Companys management board as Sales Director. Dave is an acknowledged expert in the sale of technical machinery and compounding resins. He has 25 years experience working in the industry, including 10 years as regional Sales Manager for APV, the leading polymer processing company. Of particular relevance to Stanelco is his considerable experience in working across global markets which will prove valuable as the Company takes its expertise into new market places across the world.

Other recent changes to the management team include the departure of Bruce Drew, who was Managing Director of the Aquasol division, and Graham Whitchurch, Managing Director of Adept Polymers. The management board will assume responsibility for these divisions.

In addition, as part of a continual review of Stanelcos cost base, the management has recently undertaken a number of measures to reduce its cost base and increase efficiency within the Company, including:

A continued reduction in headcount at the Companys Southampton Head Office. A consultation exercise is currently taking place at the Companys head office in Southampton over a number of administrative and technical staff;
The US office function has been realigned and Dave Wetters will now lead our US initiative from the UK head office. He will be supported by the Companys on the ground consultants who have performed well over the last 12 months. These changes will ensure consistency and accuracy in all communications across the US, with the intention of building on excellent relationships we have developed there. As a result, the Companys US office has been closed.
A strategic review has been implemented at the Adept Polymer operations and in particular the PVOH manufacturing business. This review is ongoing.
The Directors believe that all these initiatives will help Stanelco to deliver on its exciting potential for the benefit of all its shareholders.

Maestre

Are you a village idiot?

The personnel info from the web site had already been posted at the top of this page.

Why post it again?

Because you are a village idiot!

oblomov

I have spoken to Hewittalan. He is having difficulities with re-establishing his broadband connection with BT after his house move . Nothing new there then .... with BT.

The oily one

Tonyrelaxes - 09 Dec 2006 09:22 - 22920 of 27111

Oily

Don't be too harsh on Maestro. His post is not his usual rubbish.

There was actually nothing incorrect this time - a great improvement, possibly a record.

Only problem, he's was just telling us what we all already knew about!

oblomov - 09 Dec 2006 09:42 - 22921 of 27111

Thanks, Oily, Sorry Alan - comment retracted, apologies Eric, I was a bit harsh - never again will I post after a fine bottle of claret!

"Spot The Mistake" COMPETITION
==========================
"Spot The Mistake in the latest RNS".
Come on you lot, there has got to be one.

greekman - 09 Dec 2006 10:20 - 22923 of 27111

oblomov,

Most of the posts re the USA office and management changes have been well argued, pro and anti.
I am not and never have (hopefully) looked at SEO through rose tinted glasses, but try to analyse the facts, as I am sure you do.
Not saying your slant (oblomov) is wrong, just hoping it is.
As to posting after alcohol. Did this once several months ago. Read it the next day and wondered who had posted such rubbish.
Felt tempted to reply and then squelch myself.
As you say, never again. ( Hope the hangovers not too bad).
Good job the market is not open for trading, Fri/Sat night after a good visit to the pub. Mind you I would probably when drunk make better investment decisions than when sober.

greekman - 09 Dec 2006 10:39 - 22924 of 27111

The below article is very long and in parts very interesting, although most is just reiterating facts we know.
Due to this see link if you can spare about 15 mins to read through and digest.

That's OK oblo. Confess to being AWOL - caused actually by lack of any funds to invest. I suspect like others I tend to post opinions to check them out. My recent comments have been aimed at communicating the view that we are essentially in a new situation, heavily influenced by Schroders. We should not therefore be expecting RNSs when anything moves, even if a mere shadow. We also may need to wait for some time until the company is in a position to convince clients re contracts and implement them. If, as seems likely, contracts have to be renegotiated by a new man, six months seems reasonable.

yeah at least he wasn't blatently ramping/deramping within 1 hour
I think he's trying hard. Let's support him ...

aldwickk - 10 Dec 2006 08:36 - 22927 of 27111

Does anybody still think that Sirjc is not Paul Matterstson on ADVFN ?

Mad Pad - 11 Dec 2006 07:56 - 22928 of 27111

Who cares ?Filter him if you dont want to use his links as part of your research.

boldtrader - 12 Dec 2006 08:08 - 22929 of 27111

Says it all!!!!!???? Hopefully not. Cheers.

EWRobson - 12 Dec 2006 13:25 - 22930 of 27111

Is that a record. A whole 24 hours without a post. May be a good thing. May be that my chat about patience has been taken on board. Surprising though!

Tonyrelaxes - 12 Dec 2006 14:46 - 22931 of 27111

But for the (comtemptuous?) responses and aldwickk's post, which looks like an attempt to discredit someone whose views are more optimistic about SEO than his own appear, it would be nearly 3 whole days!

Yes, Eric, patience it is here.

aldwickk - 12 Dec 2006 15:10 - 22932 of 27111

They must be in shock at the way the share price is falling today.

potatohead - 12 Dec 2006 15:16 - 22933 of 27111

dump this crap, get in ERX

oblomov - 12 Dec 2006 16:02 - 22934 of 27111

Everyones gone Christmas shopping, I reckon!

Tonyrelaxes - 12 Dec 2006 16:09 - 22935 of 27111

That make you happy aldwickk?
If you are not confident with SEO after your researches and knowledge I suggest you sell and go elsewhere.

greekman - 12 Dec 2006 17:10 - 22936 of 27111

Just found this.
It was the word WRAP that caught my eye although nothing to do with SEO's wrap.
It's a government backed scheme so being very cynical of anything government lead, I see it as little substance with lots of spin.
Still anything that pushes SEO type initiatives is no bad thing.

12/12/2006 - Funding is being made available by Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) for innovations to help reduce the six million tonnes of UK household packaging that is thrown away each year.
By George Reynolds.

Snippets from the article.

One of the three broad areas WRAP aims to support is improving package closures to extend shelf-life and developing freshness indicators to alert consumers.

WRAP further suggests funding could help develop a best in class' lightweight container and advance reusable, refillable or returnable packaging ideas.
