re - Charts aren't always the answer as some stocks fluctuate too wildly
Chart are the answer to me at the moment, as I am a short term trader, and we are on a thread that trades on a dayly basis, I do more for the duration of the Indicators or had enough profits ( if any ) I use the short term system, instead of puting the certificates under the mattress at the moment as the world economy is not in a good shape.
I did started this way ( long term investment ) many years ago, naturally looking for companies with low PE and growing on a High porcentage, the system work pretty well, as the small cap shares some times were taken over eventually.
I do not know how much knowledge do you have, but the system I started with is good for any investor that starts to experiment with the stock market, very important to see if the worl economy has enough legs to keep growing, otherwise one has to look for companies than can grow even if the rest do not.
Is a good practice to select you shares ( on short term ) that move fast enough and the spread is not too wide otherwise there is no profit to be made, but for the MMs ( Market Makers )
I will have a look at the books courses that can be of inerest to you and report later.
good luck with the path you take.
