Regrettably I didn't sell INTU. I had a target of 200 to sell some to cut the risk but it never got there.
Funny how retrospectively I've realised I haven't managed the trade very well.
My portfolio is starting to look quite a mess. Some very good winners and some ugly losers amongst a much smaller volume of steady plodders.
I'm feeling fairly philosophical this morning. My portfolio is now up 10.4% YTD based on CTO, NMD and PCF up with everything else a pile of poo except for my bonds. I'd have taken that at the start of the year and will be happy if I end the year with 10%.
I've also managed to extract myself today from the situation I got myself in by stupidly investing my capital gains tax bill (payable in January 2019) in stocks rather than holding it in cash. Same mistake as I made last year so I never learn. Fortunately managed to sell for a decent profit so actually it worked out OK.
Now if someone could resolve this Brexit mess and produce an instant rally of 30% on my banking stocks that would be very helpful... Mr. Carney needs to focus more on the likely scenarios...
Thanks. I'm delighted with 10.4%, although I'm mindful the way the market is at the moment, half of that could disappear in 2 days or less if Trump opens his mouth inappropriately.
getting back to your post 21, sounds like you should move to me I'm reluctant to recommend anyone these days but purely from an efficient dealing platform point of view I will recommend Barclays trading platform.
