zoo holding on? (ZOO)

nmjnmj - 22 Oct 2003 18:52

Well, after a drop of 13%, zoo holds on with a 9% gain today. The question is, when is the next big news due? It took around 2 months to surge from 8.5 to 17+ so will we have to wait that long again?

skids - 12 Dec 2003 11:46 - 23 of 29

Encouraging news I think. Interactive DVDs will become the norm in my opinion. So ZOO are in a good position to take advantage with there software.

New write up in Shares Mag. Broker recommendation looks positive but a little conservative.
Institutions to star in Zoo’s new shares release

A 5.75 million fundraising for Zoo Digital (ZOO), up for EGM approval on 12 December, will see new institutional investors join the share register of the DVD technology firm.

Chief executive Ian Stewart is also converting a 750,000 loan to the company into new shares. The sale of 54.7 million shares will boost existing equity by 24%, giving a market capitalisation of 30 million.

Analyst Andrea Kirkby at Hardman & Co, an independent research firm, forecasts pre-tax profits rising from 47,000 this year to 605,000 in 2004 and 1.4 million in 2005. Currently at 10.5p, dealing in the new shares begins on 17 December.

Shares says: The placing will secure Zoo’s growth plans.

cheers GF.

From Investtech:

Watch (Medium term) - Dec 12, 2003
Has risen 355% since the bottom on 5 Mar 2003 at 2.75. Has broken through the floor of a rising trend channel. This indicates a slower rising rate at first, or the start of a more horizontal development. The stock has support at p 10.00. The poor liquidity of the stock (traded 100% of the days, mean 9.52 mill per day) may weaken the analysis.

Best Wishes,

Sue.

I'm holding on for a Happy New Year with Zoo, but fear I may have to wait some while before any significant rise in price. Following recent issue of shares, any thoughts from fellow investors would be welcome.

agree with you josephine, very similar to SPS in that respect. both have good products and patents are in place, but it will take some time for the industry to start using it.

Well, bought the game, got the million and just about played all the questions on the DVD. Found a new use..... keep pressing 'select' when Tarrant is talking and see how many funny faces you can get him to freeze on! His face is really quite asymmetrical.
