Bright Things (BGT)

colinspurr - 09 Nov 2005 14:13

To those of you who like me are in Bright Things hoping for the Bubble to be a great Christmas success. I thought my thoughts would be of interest. Due to the drop in the share price I went into Hamleys in Regent St yesterday and discovered that they had never heard of the game. This made me phone the company to complain that their product was not available in the world's best known toy shop. Executives were in a meeting so I thought what a waste of a phone call. Two hours later the MD phoned me back and assured that they now had a Hamleys order and their toy would be in within aweek. He did not pass on any unknown information but assured me they were flat out to make it a sucessful launch. I was much encouraged by his attitude and his interest in small shareholders.
Hope this helps.
Colin

Master RSI - I really like your cup and handle but suspect it depends on what is inside! Been doing a quick update and see the following as positive: (a) Wheatley has put up 100K of his own money; (b) Four significant shareholders with about a quarter of the capital; (c) dvd strategy plus capitalising on chip investment looks a better strategy than trying to sell hardware (d) creative expertise of management. Looking back you can see that the argument for Bubble rather than standard dvd was somewhat weak (kids are pretty adroit on computers/dvd compared with their grandparents!

What is not clear is the potential revenue from something like Tomb Raider. It looks like they are testing the water so that the end of January trading report will be significant. It would be helpful to have feedback from the retail end.

The lady I spoke to last friday said the results would be out on Monday 16th July but never know they could come out any time now! Hence, I'll be making my first purchase in these tomorrow morning. I have been hovering over the buy button since the last week but I checked the online prices today and seems I can pick some up around 5.20 pence. I think that's an excellent price considering the kind of news we're expecting in the finals. Not only that if I was to wait till the morning the finals are out, the market makers will be marking the price up and making very few shares available to buy online! I believe the free float is only around 5 million shares with more than 70% of the 30 million shares in the hands of major shareholders. These could easily soar back upto 20 pence + on some good news. Only need one piece of good news for that too. Without any good news, the price should be around the 10 pence levels as it is too! 6 months with no news thus far since the last trading statement in January but I think the finals will contain alot of good news.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cash position and forward looking statement alone will double the share price, a couple of deals thrown in could see 300%+ rise like back in September 06. All those in at the placing (11p) back in november have held there stock, the institutions have held onto there stock. Dominic put 100k hard earned cash into the placing and is a shrewd CEO who will keep a tight hold on the purse strings and can change direction of the company as markets dictate .imho fair value is around mc 3/4m (11/13)p with the cash in the bank imho around 1m and the patented asic chip also the ongoing deal with radica and future sales of tr and tw any futher deals would add to the mkt cap ,and imho the major shareholders agree.

It's been a bit flat these last few months but looks like something is stirring now. Can anyone advise the current market cap and approximate free float.

Darradev - 12 Jul 2007 12:26 - 30 of 269

Today's Daily Express Newspaper!
A huge chunk of shares in Bright Things changed hands for the second day running amid hopes that a big contract was on the way for the interactive games developer, up 3/4p to 9.62p.

Still waiting for the finals! They will now be out by the end of next week according to the company. I'll be looking to top-up again tomorrow morning at these levels. IMO just T10 holders bailed out today. The size of the sells were small too. Interestingly there we some good size delayed buys at 8-8.25p that came through during the morning.
