Hi mart'

It's all in the past.

have fun - My liver wouldn't stand it - hope to be there next year too :o)

Bones - 02 Dec 2005 22:39 - 241 of 334

Back home after leaving at a sensible time. Great event! Where do I start?

Good to meet the regulars; firstly Bullie, The Count, Amberjane, Big Al and The Guvnor for the "earnest" discussion at the dinner table. Not sure we got to the bottom of that but at least we know some people don't like it up 'em!

Also good to meet Gausie, Choccie, MG, Greystone and Stormcaller again. All on fine form as usual. edit: Not forgetting Jules and the Dynamities!

Also on fine form was Big Al - pleased to meet up at last. I'll be calling you Rubberman from now on, Al. I've never seen someone sway so much without moving their feet, yet stay standing. Not sure you'll remember what you were saying but it was fun :)

Look forward to the next one!!

Andy - 03 Dec 2005 00:30 - 242 of 334

I would just like to express my thanks for an excellent lunch to Bully and IanT.

I would also like to apologise to those I couldn't say goodbye to, as I had to dash to catch the train.

I enjoyed meeting old friends as well as new ones, and hope next year is as good!

Kayak - 03 Dec 2005 01:01 - 243 of 334

Back home after leaving at not so sensible a time.

Great fun as always.

Did Bullie manage to get to the strip joint in the end? :-)

MightyMicro - 03 Dec 2005 01:13 - 244 of 334

K: Bullie? Strip joint? Tell more!

Bullshare - 03 Dec 2005 09:16 - 245 of 334

Great day and night out. nuff said:-)

Big Al - 03 Dec 2005 11:16 - 246 of 334

It is the morning after the night after the day before. Currently in LHR waiting for transport north. Head in good condition surprisingly. Was up and at 'em by 7:30, which was amazing!

Brilliant to meet everyone, some again and others new. Was particularly pleased to see the Ozzie babe looking great. Also pleased to see my chaperones of 2 years ago turned up, but they were not needed. ;-))

I didn't last the whole night out - I know when my drink meter says "ENOUGH!!" It would've been highly embarrassing to have fallen over, Bones.

Ruth - 03 Dec 2005 14:49 - 247 of 334

Good to see you all had a good do,Sounds like it was a good meet,
Big Al, you werent pissed by any chance was you?:-)

well i can spill the beans now, the reason i couldnt come was because shoguns missus rang me up 2 weeks ago to tell me she was organising a surprise 40th bithday do for him, when i checked the diary it was the same day as the xmas do,
Shogun at that time hadnt even remembered it was his birthday, and he hadnt even told his other half he was going to London for the day, so i had to try and make sure he stayed here in Manchester on the Friday, but away from his own house as the prerations were taking place.
Well he did realise it was his birthday when he went back on the thread and took a closer look at the date, we thought for a minute he had sussed us out, but he didnt have a clue and was shocked on his return home last night to a surprise 40th do,
I was very ill yesterday and had to leave his party after an hour or so, so theres no way i could have travelled down to London anyway, even if it hadnt been his birthday an we were stil booked in,
But we will be there next year, unless someone else is 40 and keeping it secret from his/her fellow traders.:-)

Greystone - 03 Dec 2005 17:57 - 248 of 334

Thanks all for a great day out. Good to see so many old friends again.

How come The Count still looks as young as he did when I first met him xxxx years ago? One of those biotech plays of his must supply him with Peter Pan serum.. ;-)

And, Martini in ringlets....!? Had Amber and Choccie after the name of his hairdresser..... ;-)

Good fun and home safe. Sounds like no-one slept past their stop this year. Must have been tamer than I thought.

niggle - 03 Dec 2005 18:44 - 249 of 334

Greystone, hi!, where are the photos? :O)
