THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Harry yes your right it was British Leyland but it wasnt always nationalised and his company did work for Rolls Royce aswel. A specialist pattermakers who ran side by side the big boys.

Chris C what on earth has got into you. you dont need to use language like that. The gloves came off today because of the right wing loons on here last night.

Maggie, my intention was not too upset you i hope I havent but my recollection of the 20 years after thatcher was my mates kids hanging around most days waiting for either of their parents to come home. often ended up in our house where her indoors was a full time house wife. Id have thought you would get more help as a one parent mum under labour governments.

cynic - 09 Apr 2013 13:37 - 23117 of 81564

fred - how did you manage to extrapolate that load of tripe from maggie's (sensible) post?

Contain any material which is defamatory of any other person;
Contain any material which is obscene or offensive;

if applied to the letter, that would banish a number of "colourful" posters in pretty short order ...... including sticky i fear :-)

TANKER - 09 Apr 2013 13:50 - 23120 of 81564

gold so why has CYNIC not been banned
he insults most posters and is not that bright .

HARRYCAT - 09 Apr 2013 13:52 - 23121 of 81564

LOL!!!! That's quite funny Mr T, though inaccurate, and neatly falls outside the offensive rule!

cynic - 09 Apr 2013 14:03 - 23129 of 81564

ah well ian, there are some who sit with the paling stuck up firmly up their fundament ..... mind you, i guess that keeps them and their opinions balanced

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2013 14:04 - 23130 of 81564

Cynic,

That is why there is shortage of housing for low income families to rent and why some are paying exorbitant rents of "subsidy from the tax payers" into the hands of smaller group of people "landlords".

=----
Maggie,

Some of the institutions (Public Schools) appear like Borstal Schools of old and probably are the correct housing for some offspring,

(Maybe, a suitable reformatory for the parents as well.)

I suppose having a child is performing their duty to the line of descent.

hilary - 09 Apr 2013 14:04 - 23131 of 81564

I dunno where Harry is, Skinners.

PS. There's only one 'l' in my name.

Fred1new - 09 Apr 2013 14:07 - 23132 of 81564

No Fred I mean schools, Where teachers who cannot (are not allowed to) discipline let alone indoctrinate are basically blamed for every thing that goes wrong with children. eg rising teenage mothers, falling academic standards, rising drug abuse, etc. A lot of parents only want their children 'babysat' and definitely not disciplined or asked to do anything difficult like homework.
GF you did not offend me one bit and no govt helped me I paid my mortgage, rates, taxes, NI etc. Like most working people.
Right enough, must go as minding grandchildren so that my children can go to work to pay mortgage, rates, taxes, NI etc and no they don't get child credit cos I'm not a registered child minder! Sorry rant over!
