Here's tricky question to get the discussion going for 2007.

What is the share price going to be this time next year and why?

Write your answer here

Oh really?

And how much money do you want to put on that forecast?

Go on have a guess and lets see who is closest on New Year's eve next year.

The oily one

maestro - 31 Dec 2006 18:41 - 23136 of 27111

15p...because i say so

cynic - 31 Dec 2006 19:08 - 23137 of 27111

and how much money are you going to put on that prognostication?
imo, if sp is 1.5p by end of 2007 many shareholders will be delighted, for it'll mean the company has avoided the abyss for another year

waveydavey - 01 Jan 2007 20:16 - 23138 of 27111

Oily, The only thing I can comfortably predict isthat the board will still be populated by people who 'have no vested interest in this share', but cannot help but part their 'wisdom and knowledge' onto others.
Some would say DYOR.
or is that the CYNIC in me.
;-))))))))

here here waveydavey!!!!

Paperbackwriter - 02 Jan 2007 07:49 - 23140 of 27111

My crystal ball says 30p.

cynic - 02 Jan 2007 08:09 - 23141 of 27111

you are right ..... this board has a morbid fascination ..... almost like watching a slow disembowelling but without the visible gore ..... Mel Gibson would prefer more "reality"!

oblomov - 02 Jan 2007 08:50 - 23142 of 27111

SP at the end of the year, Oily?

Either 0p (in liquidation) or between 2 and 3p after a few welcome but unsubstantial sales, IMO. I think it will survive but will trade for years within that bracket having failed to pick up the market share it could have.

Whats your own prediction?

Oh, BTW

hewittalan6 - 02 Jan 2007 08:59 - 23143 of 27111

My Prediction;
Showers in the east spreading to all parts by midday.
Feeling chilly in a northwesterly wind.
Its as much chance of accuracy as any forecast I might make on SEO.
Alan

garyble - 02 Jan 2007 09:42 - 23144 of 27111

HAPPY NEW YEAR one and all!

Bugger the predictions.....lets get some successes under our belts before we start playing that game once again!

EWRobson - 02 Jan 2007 11:52 - 23145 of 27111

Oily 5p. Pessimistic is 0p. Optimistic is 10p. 5p is a cap. of 150m which means a combination of several large clients for Starpol family products and GreenSeal making steady although not dramatic progress. I don't think pessimistic will happen because company would be acquired for, say, 50m (1.7p per share) if running out of cash again. On that basis worth a punt, although I confess to being out at the moment until I see real order(s) on the table.

Don't know if this as been mention before, but i have just bought some oganic mushrooms at Tesco's in a compostable punnet and on the back it says Omni-Pac.

http://www.omnipac.com.au/

garyble - 02 Jan 2007 12:08 - 23147 of 27111

Nice to see that, although negative towards SEO, you're at least curious enough to see whether its managing to sell its products.

We've been on the degradable/biodegradable merry-go-round a while back, but the OMNIPAC products are fundamentally "Degradable" ie: petro-plastic with additive to accelerate its breakdown......not as desirable as non-petro biodegradable plastics.....IMO.

garyble - 02 Jan 2007 15:10 - 23148 of 27111

Interesting extract from the "Omnipac" link:

"Although starch based polymers have been in the market place for almost 2 decades they have not, as yet, been able to capture as much market share, of the packaging film and bag market, as oxo-degradable plastics have done since their launch 4-5 years ago.

This is possibly due to the high cost of starch based raw materials ( 3.75 times as expensive) as well as the limited usefulness of the plastic produced, which has poor clarity, gloss and surface finish as well as poor water resistance and requires increased thickness of plastic (nearly twice) when attempting to achieve similar mechanical properties to normal plastic bags.
"

parrisf - 02 Jan 2007 16:55 - 23149 of 27111

Would love the SP to be above 17.5p but I would guess at around 5p.
Anyway, all the best for 2007. I am nicely in United Utilities. Up by 40% and a nice hike today but what makes it even better is the DIVI!!!
Gordon.

explosive - 02 Jan 2007 20:11 - 23150 of 27111

Well I'll predict 1.50 as never saw these lows coming 12 months ago!!

Cynic - Course its crap until they get a sale, what makes you think that 2007 won't be that year?

cynic - 02 Jan 2007 20:47 - 23151 of 27111

there is a truism that deals that take a long time to materialise almost never happen ..... it seems to me that SEO have been promising contracts and results since before some of you were born and have yet to come up with a result.

as i posted earlier, wish i had had the balls to short at 3p!
