ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

market simply shititself now..good for us ..we can get more for less

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 10:59 - 2345 of 5941

surprised none of you have posted about ASC today ..... their figures were good, though i don't think any better than expected ..... sp has dropped about 7% which is not unexpected - i.e. selling on the news ..... howwever, it is the press and analysts (haha!) perception and comment that will be interesting

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 12:09 - 2346 of 5941

cynic,
every one propably too much focus on rbs..

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 12:14 - 2347 of 5941

numbers great , they just defy gravity
asc will go up soon anyway
.. can't stop the train...

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 12:22 - 2348 of 5941

rather like RBS and other banks now too low????

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 12:55 - 2349 of 5941

don't remind me rbs..:)
lost to much.. banks no place to invest , uncomparable , going short ..yea ,

asc is different planet,no debt, inside average growth rate more than 40% and this statement..
market value is now for 15% growth so -far away from real value..so it is just a matter of time,I think months

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 13:09 - 2350 of 5941

fair value is a perception and though ASC is a great company, there is more competition appearing and even their CEO admits ASC is not immune from recession

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 13:54 - 2351 of 5941

they are the biggest and the strongest at this field, untouchable at the moment , CEO Roberts -yes said "cautious" but also said before christmas he is not scare loosing some customers because too many newcomers, and look at the numbers-they say everything , same growth as year ago with recession now! , all in all they didn't slow down as a company.now what is happen to the market price is sum of perception based on fear.
just check their numbers from time when was 400p.is anything bed happen in the business from that moment?i don't remember and i know all their numbers.do you?

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 14:09 - 2352 of 5941

i don't need to know ASC's numbers ..... all i am interested in is trying to judge whether sp will rise and fall from a certain level ..... however, you may care to add to your bank of numbers that today sp has fallen 27p = 9.66% as i write

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 14:44 - 2353 of 5941

:)
well, to judge you need evidence right?
numbers-evidence
or speculation-evidence?
that fall is just big boys game.found managers game.right?

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 14:46 - 2354 of 5941

do i care? .... of course not and why should i? ..... at the moment i have called correctly and now need to judge when to close out

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 15:01 - 2355 of 5941

im investing you spread beting , two different planets :)

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 15:03 - 2356 of 5941

i'm trying to make money ... what's your aim?

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 15:21 - 2357 of 5941

well same as yours but different way

cynic - 19 Jan 2009 15:35 - 2358 of 5941

lol! ..... i actually use CFDs rather than s/b ..... no time element then involved, so in a way, it is also investing, though geared of course

tomasz - 19 Jan 2009 16:55 - 2359 of 5941

yea :)

tomasz - 21 Jan 2009 16:25 - 2360 of 5941

May I suggest that buying online is infinitely preferable, for many people, to going out in the current cold spell complete with shopping bag. It is quite possible that this cold spell will boost sales... and the same thing could happen with Spring garden plants and seeds. I declare an interest, having recently bought at 245p. Made a killing three years ago, buying at 50p, and then selling at 1.50 when I needed the money.

Of course I may be speculating through my backside...

cynic - 04 Feb 2009 20:21 - 2362 of 5941

hard to know ... though what you say is intriniscally true, ASC sp has already priced in some pretty heady expectations, and any failure to meet those will be severely punished

tomasz - 05 Feb 2009 09:24 - 2363 of 5941

they will
