With about 6 weeks to results I'd say this action is people taking position for March 21 results....a momentary disturbance to the calm of the SEO sp.

pisces - 02 Feb 2007 10:38 - 23442 of 27111

Can we break the 1.5p mark, hope so!

Bugz - 02 Feb 2007 10:58 - 23443 of 27111

This is going to be short lived in my opinion.

Just closed a small spreadbet open since the 1p days and opened a small short.

The rumour mill is quiet it seems.

pisces - 02 Feb 2007 11:48 - 23444 of 27111

Nice 4grand profit banked for 2 days work sold 2million at 1.4 -1.44 not showing on money am,ready to pounce at 1.2pence.

robinhood - 02 Feb 2007 13:23 - 23445 of 27111

not this thread I know but wanted to alert my fellow SEO sufferers to Accsys Technologies (AXS)

minordetail - 02 Feb 2007 14:30 - 23446 of 27111

Previous comment re Walmart in the Times and their green aspirations. Listened to Asda spokesperson on the radio yesterday explaining how they are intending to provide more local produce with a reduction in packaging in vegatables. You will start to find lots of loose veg' and muddy potatoes in their shops. Nothing specific re SEO but get the feeling they are beginning to instigate some radical changes in their shops in response to enviromental concerns.

hangon - 02 Feb 2007 14:57 - 23447 of 27111

Nearly 3 months to sort out their Results...does SEO have that much time on its hands?.....I note Minordetails post re fruit and veg "loose" in supermarkets....yet I think SEO's packing was for meats - where you don't want people handling the stuff. Mindyou perhaps I don't want people handling my vegetables either.
Hopefully SEO will wake up to the real World, -but I have some doubts that things are not as rosy as investors would like....

There is no point in owning good IP if it never is exploited. It only contributes to NAV when a value can be placed on it and that is most easily achieved by selling the product and realising an income, hence profit. The longer a product is touted about the easier it is for competitors (or History) to remove the value....there said it.

Falcothou - 02 Feb 2007 15:44 - 23448 of 27111

Some supermarkets used to spray their potatoes with muddy water...to make them look more organic!!! Probably still do in fact

maestro - 02 Feb 2007 16:55 - 23449 of 27111

anyone who sold out today will be gutted monday...my contact says monday will be the biggest rise seen for stanelco ever

cynic - 02 Feb 2007 16:56 - 23450 of 27111

hope you're right for you and everyone else out there, but i note sp came back pretty smartly from earlier highs, pretty much back to the opening level

robinhood - 02 Feb 2007 17:00 - 23451 of 27111

maestro i do not think your "contacts" EVER had it right

Mad Pad - 02 Feb 2007 17:04 - 23452 of 27111

Maestro this would be the same contact that told you news was imminent weeks ago I suppose, give it a break,we can all understand your motives.

PATISEAR - 02 Feb 2007 17:08 - 23453 of 27111

maestro,
you are full of attention seeking posts.
You must be a very lonely person.

maestro - 02 Feb 2007 17:46 - 23454 of 27111

pati...grow up and watch and learn!

cynic - 02 Feb 2007 18:17 - 23455 of 27111

maestro .... recommend you only chortle and crow once you are proved right ..... even you must admit that you have made an awful lot of noise and predictions about all sorts of companies that have not produced as "promised"

pinnacle - 02 Feb 2007 19:58 - 23456 of 27111

Just a note:

The FT today states that the activity yesterday concerns the REMOVAL of a stock overhang!!

Somebody loves Stanelco - Let's hope it's at 5p!!!

Mad Pad - 02 Feb 2007 21:00 - 23457 of 27111

Hi all ,having had time to think about this recant flurry of activity the most rational reason I have found so far is the article on GURUFOCUS by Mini Buffet.{ADNVF Post 79792 follow the link} also the timing is right 30/1/07.Also several links to Pauls site!So maybe the power of the press .

pinnacle - 02 Feb 2007 21:16 - 23458 of 27111

To be fair the news of the scorecards has been known for sometime - it may have had a small contribution - but when you look at the trades yesterday the majority were round numbers - not what private investors usually do.

So, I am sticking with the stock overhang, makes sense after the raising of capital.

Once again it's who is buying - that is the question.

Just a note:

The FT today states that the activity yesterday concerns the REMOVAL of a stock overhang!!

The FT does not state this. The FT says:

"Stanelco gained 18.2% to 1.3 p in heavy volume of more than 110m shares .The talk was that a large stock overhang had been cleared in the packaging technology group."

ie the talk and talk is cheap.

Mad Pad. You know nothing of SETS shares, you refer to PMs site and the article on Gurufocus is old news. Enough said.

pinnacle - 02 Feb 2007 21:22 - 23460 of 27111

If the overhang has been removed and the price goes up - what do you think has happened - bought or sold!!!

With regard to Mad Pad's comment - he is just keeping others informed - what is wrong with that?

It is up to the individual as to what to do with information.
