sd: which paw is it? Just when euphoria is setting in, the hard knocks arrive. Keeps us humble and poor, I suppose, which is supposed to be a blessed state!

Movement today is within the convergent resistance/support spread which has narrowed and is broadly 18.5p to 17p. As a tyro on these things, I believe that the move will be up because of the direction of the flag and should not be too far distant as we are approaching 2/3rds to the apex of the triangle (OK, chartists?). If it was sd, I would say 'clever boy'! Mind, Evil has been prepared to take on NLR so I will be relieved if there is no mention of SEO in his next despatch.

Wise words indeed.

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 09:03 - 2351 of 27111

This morning's selling is looking a bit overdone - is this a buying opportunity ?

Dynamite - 30 Mar 2005 09:16 - 2352 of 27111

Overgrowth...If I had any spare cash I would certainly see it as a buying opportunity :-(

bosley - 30 Mar 2005 09:40 - 2353 of 27111

morning all. blimey!!!! it's a bloodbath out there.

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 09:43 - 2354 of 27111

Bosley - Perfect time to buy in my books...

bosley - 30 Mar 2005 09:45 - 2355 of 27111

just had a look at trades and there are lots of nice round even number sells. are we being shorted again by the evil one?

cashcaptain - 30 Mar 2005 10:42 - 2356 of 27111

does anyone have a good valid explanation why after the asda deal the price has dropped instead of rising, i'm a bit baffled as to what is going on considering that a new contract usually means a rise in the sp??????

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 10:49 - 2357 of 27111

cashcaptain - A temporary bit of profit taking, whenever a share rises relatively quickly over a short period of time the folks who adhere to "you never go broke taking a profit" and the "buy rumour, sell results" principles take their profits . Then what follows is massive buying support from the crowd (who really make the big money) who follow the "let your winners run" and "add to winning positions" principles.

Technical analysis thanks to soul train on advfn:

"At the moment a tight Box is being formed with the price trading sideways between your double-top and the previous double-bottom.
This Box is the most reliable of the Continuation patterns and will almost inevitably result in the continuation of the uptrend as soon as this profit taking consolidation period has ended.

Watch for breakout. It will be profound."

cashcaptain - 30 Mar 2005 10:55 - 2358 of 27111

cheers! hope ur right on this one!!

bosley - 30 Mar 2005 10:58 - 2359 of 27111

cashcaptain, my opinion is that the rise was prior to the announcement. its a good deal for seo but i feel asda called most of the shots during negotiations. asda have got exclusivity AND a discount! the upside to this is , that asda are keen on the technology and see other uses apart from tray lidding, (evo's note mentions bags of frozen chips. i feel that if this is possible then bags of frozen anything are possible ). BUT as we have seen from seo before, they are quite prepared to lose a battle or two as long as they win the war. i think the price will settle a while at current levels until more news is announced. there will be some profit taking but, when you consider the long term future of seo , any dips might be a good buying opportunity, as di and og say.

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 13:20 - 2360 of 27111

Looks as though the buyers are back in town, there should be no holding back for SEO from now...

markusantonius - 30 Mar 2005 13:30 - 2361 of 27111

OG, Do you think 16.5p-ish is the lowest we'll see then?

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 13:41 - 2362 of 27111

Looks suspiciously like that to me given the TA, and the fact that the drop was after GOOD NEWS so it was pure profit taking.

markusantonius - 30 Mar 2005 13:50 - 2363 of 27111

TA?

overgrowth - 30 Mar 2005 13:56 - 2364 of 27111

Technical analysis - see my earlier post.

markusantonius - 30 Mar 2005 14:03 - 2365 of 27111

Ta (that's short 4 "thanx!").

bosley - 30 Mar 2005 18:34 - 2366 of 27111

evening. sells out numbering buys but price held up well.

markusantonius - 30 Mar 2005 18:57 - 2367 of 27111

I was going to generate a new post but thought it best not to start a potential splinter post. So here I have a question for all holders and analysts - the answers of which may benefit us all in deciding what our next moves should be....... What does each of you target as realistic sp's for our beloved company in --
1 week
1 month
3 months
1 year
and beyond.......?

Do we sell soon? Do we hold and wait? or Do we hold and top up and wait and for how long? Any supporting footnotes alongside forecasts also appreciated!

Kus.

stockdog - 30 Mar 2005 19:48 - 2368 of 27111

OK - here goes . . .

1 week - 18p
1 month - 20p
3 months - 30p
1 year - 50p
and beyond - 1.00 - 5.00

Whether to buy, hold or sell depends on many individual circumstances.

I have no current plan to sell below 30p.

SEO being my largest holding and having no spare funds, I cannot buy more, so I am holding. When the 30p level is reached I may well take out my original investment leaving the rest to ride for free - exact timing and level depending on the market momentum nearer the time.

If I had, say, 25% of my portfolio uninvested and in cash currently, I would allocated some of this to more SEO at today's prices.

All or any of the above may change in the light of future news from the shop floor or the accountant's office, good or bad.

Ultimately DYOR and MUYOM, but consider the robust performance of this share relative to the red glow suffusing the entire small caps market over the last week.

Good luck
SD
