Tom, your going to be in trouble when the wife reads post 224, youve already been shouted at once you naughty boy:-)
Anyway, serious competition now Tom , some hunky hubby material there yesterday, only problem is Stephies thinking of the same blokes as me :-)
Only kidding, im a good girl really, just love flirting, nothing wrong with window shopping hey Stephie:-) Dont think my other half would mind me window shopping, but he might draw the line at trying on the clothes:-)

Bosley, did you reallly end up alone with that woman in the bar,?you unlucky sod:-)blame Steph:-)
ps she wasnt with traders for anyone wondering what were on about, just some lady hotel resident in the bar chatting up all the male traders in the bar, proper bunny boiler, even i was propositioned by her for a night of passion which as you can imagine had me in stitches,
but even funnier when she told Shogun he needed to learn some conversation skills, :-)Jeff i will look up some therapy sessions buddy:-)

Anyone needing any info or anything they didnt understand please drop me a mail on the above address, might take me a while to answer if the markets are busy, but i will get round to it,

Ruth - 12 Nov 2005 16:38 - 237 of 259

Stormie, cheap plonk in the fridge ready:-)

Yantraman, your internal email isnt enaibled, i wanted to send you a mail:-(

ps, anyone attending yesterday, please note we have regular north west nights out, usually once a month in Manchester, great nights out and a real good laugh,

pogo9 - 12 Nov 2005 17:50 - 238 of 259

Enjoyed the day - would have liked to see Sputnik/Ruth & Shogun given a bigger slot....

Cheers.

Sputnik - 12 Nov 2005 20:51 - 239 of 259

Bosley - LOL hope you scored, we told her you were the only one with a spare condom:-)

Harlosh - 12 Nov 2005 21:02 - 240 of 259

Thanks for an enjoyable day yesterday.

Must say I enjoyed Sputnik and Ruth & Jeff's spots.

Perhaps sitting at the front gave me an advantage but I fully understood everything you were trying to get over Ruth. It was great to see and understand. Thanks for being prepared to share your methods. Much appreciated.

H.

Thanks to everyone for making it such a good day. The best-behaved audience we ever had... :-)

Yantraman - 13 Nov 2005 13:48 - 243 of 259

Right, sorry for posting so late. I really did enjoy the day. Highlights for me were definately listening to the traders.

Tom H - always gives such a great presentation, thanks for talking about your stratergies etc and explaining them so well. Your enthusiasm for trading is great. I learnt something!

Sputnik - really well presented, it goes to show, simple charting techniques really can make you money!! By the way I also use MAs for support and resistance but tend to keep a check on them and change them to fit the situation as some trends use a 15 or 25 ma one day and a 10ma the next.

Ruth and Shogun. I have to say I really appreciated your efforts, ok so the market wasnt that great for you, but I know you are winning traders anyway, the fact you werent able to trade didnt bother me. It was how you traded and the set ups that I found really interesting.

Ruth I really wish I had longer to talk - it was unfortunate I had to rush back to Cumbria. It was really great to meet both you and Steph and put faces to names which I have seen on these boards daily for 4 yrs + now. I would really like to talk trading some more, (I am very isolated up here form the trading world!), particularly about a L2 set up which I have been using with charts. I always get inspired on the rare occasions I ever get to talk to another trader and I love to comprare stratergies etc.

I will send you an email as soon as I am back at my desk!

Thanks again

Adrian

dss - 13 Nov 2005 22:19 - 244 of 259

Thanks for a great day....But I thought that all of my mis-conceptions were going to be highlighted and ridiculed.
They weren't,In fact I did not learn much more than that which I had already learned the hard way already. (Education is so much more poignant when there is a hundred quid to be wasted at every mistake, on the table). Even so I have never made anything on the markets.
So I know it all _---and still lose money!!
Well what do you think of that?

I actually mentioned this to Alan in the bar early on after the meeting, acting as the devils advocate so to speak. This was before the taxi arrived on time for once so I had to go.

prober - 13 Nov 2005 22:21 - 245 of 259

Great day many thanks to all.

Most enjoyable, despite discrimination against us southerners by Manchester air traffic control, who wouldn't let us leave Southampton for ages and almost made me late - said the weather was bad - did you see any bad weather on Friday? bet they let all the other airy planes in.

Hope Ruth and Shogun can do it all again in a more accommodating time slot.

All the best and thanks for your welcome north west.

Cheers
Tony Lee

Isaacs - 13 Nov 2005 22:33 - 246 of 259

DSS - the market is less about how much you know and more about discipline in applying that knowledge.

dss - 13 Nov 2005 23:00 - 247 of 259

Isaacs
Very good and very right.
The fact that you said it all in 17 words says all of it ...ta.

Steph - 13 Nov 2005 23:23 - 248 of 259

Hi All,
Glad you all had a good day.
Great to hear you would actually have liked to hear more of Sputnik and Ruth and Shoguns' presentations, after all, it is supposed to be a "TRADERS DAY"....Sorry Bully.....(Not Really!) You know I LOVE you really!

Graham, tried to e-mail you but it bounced back. Have you changed your details?
Please let Ruth know your current details.

chocolat - 13 Nov 2005 23:54 - 249 of 259

Hey it was a great day.

But I'm not going anywhere near yorkshire puds next time - you didn't have the chippie fire lady in your lap Ruthie :S

alderleyedge - 14 Nov 2005 00:35 - 250 of 259

Really enjoyed the day and many thanks to all that took part.
For myself Tom Hougaard was an in inspiration.Ruth and Shoguns slot was perfect, missed the kick but the discipline.........priceless!

compoundup - 14 Nov 2005 09:53 - 251 of 259

A good day. Good company. Looking at the markets with renewed "positive expectations" this morning.

shogun - 14 Nov 2005 10:19 - 252 of 259

Well what a good day it is always good to meet like minded people .

Unfortunatly the slot ruth and me put on did not go as planed as time was against us, i can only apologise and say both ruth and myself were as dissapointed as you must have been,

Who was that mad woman who was harrassing everyone after the event, she scared peter(script) to death and then latched on to poor CC.

Greystone - 14 Nov 2005 11:58 - 253 of 259

Shogun - That's Steph's new friend and pupil you are talking about. ;-)

CC - 14 Nov 2005 19:22 - 254 of 259

Shogun - I seem to remember she thought your conversational skills needed improving. What she really meant was that she wanted to give you some tongue action ;-)))

Ruth - 14 Nov 2005 22:59 - 255 of 259

CC, dont get him going, hes still having nightmares:-), as you can imagine weve taken the piss out of him all day today, were sending him on a course on how to tell someone to piss off poiltely instead of his usual 4 letter rant, and to a lady as well, no manners hey:-)
