Try not to think, T. Stay focused and just stick to the game plan.

Thanks - oh wise one ;)

Tellon - 15 Dec 2004 12:13 - 2377 of 11056

I got scared and im out.. +44 (Exit at 69) on the Euro today. I feel it will start to drop now.

I should have took GBP, I think I will aim to take more Sterling postions when all seems to be in favour of a direction..

Tellon - 15 Dec 2004 13:45 - 2378 of 11056

Up it goes! Oh well another lesson learned for the future!

Great call - and I'm watching sma/ema very carefully. I think I may now have a game plan to work to. Thanks again.

Tentative short - obeying new rules - let's see where this leads.

No probs if it doesn't do what it's supposed to - but it's worth a go.

Mid-week Balti calls so I'm doing the equivalent of going behind the sofa having put my money on the table.

Not a long day today but tomorrow and US figures may change that?
Do we think yesterday was bond driven rather than dollar driven?

mg - 16 Dec 2004 08:25 - 2382 of 11056

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Amazingly narrow trading band overnight - pause for breath before taking out previous multi-year high (Tellon's 2+ prediction) - or a bit of a pull back?

Closed my short - flat - based on new (hilary inspired) trading rules. It's working already - it wasn't a loss ;)

hilary - 16 Dec 2004 08:32 - 2383 of 11056

swiss interest rate

hilary - 16 Dec 2004 08:34 - 2384 of 11056

unchanged ..... had been expected to rise

hilary - 16 Dec 2004 08:38 - 2385 of 11056

We could see a bit of a tug-o-war today because of that. My oscillators say long dollar, but what I've said about strategy to T and mg indicated short dollar first thing this morning.

You didn't say anything about your oscillators - suppose you didn't want to embarrass me - but I'm broad minded - I'd have understood ;)

hilary - 16 Dec 2004 08:52 - 2387 of 11056

mg,

Normally the two tend to work in tandem so it's not an issue and I didn't really want to overcomplicate matters. Simplest is best imo.

Divetime - 16 Dec 2004 10:16 - 2388 of 11056

Short cable at the moment, thinking about closing and reversing, any views ?

Divetime - 16 Dec 2004 10:27 - 2389 of 11056

Eur starting to drop, will it pull cable back

dscott62 - 16 Dec 2004 10:30 - 2390 of 11056

Been watching this thread for a while and decided to put my six pence in for what it's worth. I am still trading on a demo account to develop my strategy. Been loosing a lot recently due to having my stops to close.

However I found a very good website that gives short (intraday), medium (daily) and long term (weekly) forcasts and it's FREE.

http://www.mataf.net/en

Currently long on Cable with a wide stop, going to hold out for the major uptrend. Already missed a whole section, but am keeping a close eye on it now.

Just opened a "Real" account with FXCM and will probably start trading "real" money in the new year.

Morning All,

Didnt have time to post this morning. I went long this morning and fully expected to be stopped out. So I used a very tight stop, the tight trading range helped with stop placement. Out for a small loss.. Not looking to trade today had Christmas Party last night and am not feeling to clever...

So back tomorrow after some sleep... Please will this day just end!!

Back in the saddle - not recovered all of my recent losses but working on it - thanks again.

What a roller coaster day. Exciting when you are on the right side of the moves. Establishing the turn is interesting - temptation (for me at this stage) is to go a bit prematurely - need to watch that ;)

Divetime - 16 Dec 2004 18:24 - 2393 of 11056

Well worst ever day for me,200 pip loss on cable, that will teach me to forget stops
