I have created this new thread so that anyone who is interested in attending a celebration lunch, day out, whatever to celebrate TMC's share price reaching 20, can register their interest and voice an opinion on what they would like to do.
When,.......Obviously timing is not yet known.
Where,......Somewhere pretty central to most posters.
Who,.........Is it just investors, or do we include other halves.
What,........Theme park, slap up lunch, piss up.
Any ideas, put them forward on this thread and we can all openly discuss options and formulate a day of celebration.

the following statement is quite interesting for what it does NOT say - but the market is unimpressed and sp has now fallen again, but that may be just because DFaintree has satisfied its appetite (for the time being?) ......
Statement re Significant Shareholder, Daintree Resources Limited
Toledo Mining Corporation plc wishes to advise the market it has had initial discussions with Daintree which now holds a beneficial interest in approximately 20.0% of the Company's issued share capital.
Daintree has advised Toledo that it intends to be a long term shareholder of
Toledo. It is supportive of the Company's current strategy to manage
costs, pursue opportunities to develop the ore shipping business, and
explore beneficiation options for the sale of nickel products to
international markets. Toledo welcomes this statement by Daintree and
looks forward to working with its new major shareholder.

I presume you mean it does not say they are interested in making an offer.

After buying it at almost the peak and losing a tidy sum. I was thinking of coming back in to TMC, however the news of the Daintee interest seems to have had a somewhat negative effect on the SP.

no DD .... what the statement does NOT say is that Daintree are NOT interested in making an offer ..... I also found the phrase "preliminary discussions" quite interesting, though i accept i maybe reading things into the statement that are totally without foundation

but you wouldn't then expect the sp to fall unless (and this wouldn't surprise me) it recovers later in the day.

Only small volumes today but 90% sells. Will stay out and just keep an eye on this I think for the time being

But you have to ask who Daintree are, why they want such a big stake in one company, and what will they do on SP weakness, or if the company doesn't persue the strategy of interest to them ?

Well done to everyone who piled in like me at 10p at Christmas. I'm out now at 40p.

Not yet as I may feel the price will consolidate in the 30 and 40p area for a while. Plenty of other stocks waiting for similar re-ratings back up imo i.e RTS imho.

Treacle - had a quick look at RTS - what worries me is this legal case of a few years standing.
Have you any info/views on this ?
And what do you see as the selling points on this share - I note the forward order book, and market changes taking place.

Hi there,
There is no legal case standing and the company is getting even more cash back through loan re-payments. There are no boards for RTS here and I'll try to set one up in a short while. TMC is still an excellent play imo for other longer term holders.

Treacle - From the results
RTS Flexible Systems, a subsidiary company, is engaged in an ongoing dispute
with a former customer. This is referred to in note 10 as a contingent
liability. In accordance with IAS 1 the Directors have considered the impact of
this contingent liability on the going concern of the Group and do not consider
that the outcome of this contingent liability would have a significant impact on
the going concern of the Group
10. Contingent liabilities
RTS Flexible Systems is engaged in an ongoing dispute with a former customer.
This fact was disclosed in the 2006 and 2007 financial statements. The
information usually required by International Accounting Standard 37 is not
disclosed on the grounds that it can be expected to seriously prejudice the
outcome of the dispute. The Directors are of the opinion that the claim can be
successfully resisted by the Company.

Thanks Joe Say...imo nothing to be concerned about as per below:-Cash is 6.25p as off end of March 09 which is double the current sp of 3p. Plus more monies due through loan notes an order book currently worth 4.50p on its own.
'do not consider that the outcome of this contingent liability would have a significant impact on the going concern of the Group'.

looking very good today, still think Daintree will be bidding at multiples of todays price. Just think last rns was put out to take off the froth, rocket job if they rns more buying, also ENK going nicely which may see them try and muscle in with an all paper bid - possibly the more likely outcome. Excellent value considering the amounts of cash being chucked in here a few weeks ago at around 45p.

strong rumour ENK to make an all share offer, hmmm makes sense. Also advfn poster sold 100000 above bid and was told buyer was interested in more. I presume Daintree were buying again today so another rns and it is firworks time. Just a matter of time till a bid and close to 100p imo. Keep a watching.

closing market report 27th April
"Finally Toledo Mining corp (LSE:TMC) was in demand on persistent talk of stakebuilding and a possible bid, the share price increase was also supported by hefty volume."
