THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

For Manuel,

to relieve his boredom!

Haystack - 15 Apr 2013 16:24 - 23832 of 81564

Does that mean Walt Disney is making a bio film of of Mrs T? They must have realised how popular that would be.

Fred1new - 15 Apr 2013 16:58 - 23833 of 81564

They could base it on witches and wizards.

Could be a great send up.

Skinny,

I thought you were older than that.

What are you taking?

Is Alzheimer's kicking in with you, as you seem to be repeating yourself?

I thought that was the new 'theme' of the thread?

(repetition).

Haystack - 15 Apr 2013 17:07 - 23839 of 81564

Lynda Carter could play Mrs T. and Worzel Gummage for Michael Foot. I can't think of any actors stupid enough to play Scargill or Kinnock.

Maybe they should close public offices and give kids a day off school so they can watch the most important funeral they will probably ever see.

cynic - 15 Apr 2013 17:31 - 23841 of 81564

most important funeral - hardly! .... and other than showing one's respect (singularly lacking in some quarters) it is but the marking of someone's short journey through this life

Fred1new - 15 Apr 2013 18:22 - 23842 of 81564

Respects given where respect is due!

Holidays for kids, what will the Nasty Party stoop to in order to get liked by some?

---------

Bye the way, when they get back from their holiday they will probably find their schools have been sold off.

Sourdough bread is beautiful, only wish it didn't remind of Manuel.

hays - this thread is now getting very tiresome .... please can we abandon it with its present addiction and move onwards to something else, not least because we may get shot of Red Fred and sticky in his more silly moods (MrT, like the poor, is i am afraid always with us) and on the other side, yourself in more aggravating and repetitive mode :-)

Perhaps we should talk about wine. I have a few connections with wine. I used to work for a major wine and spirits company for about 8 years as an IT consultant. Although I was not a member of staff I did the wine trade training at the in-house training centre (diploma and cert in wine). They were great days as we could get staff prices for incredible wines such as Mouton Rotchschild. The company owned Chateau Lascombes and we bought bottles for £2.50. In the managers bar we had free access to over proof spirits such as Bacardi. They had 2 million gals of Bacardi underground in tanks. At Christmas the IT dept staff order was as big as some of their real customers. There was cases of Fuerhed (forgotten the spelling) 1965 port. We even got a staff price for some Chateau Petrus but didn't get it as it was earmarked for a director.

hilary - 15 Apr 2013 19:57 - 23847 of 81564

Yes, the thread needs a change of subject. On that note, how many of you boys old farts is gonna buy one of them new fangled bum wraps?

Betcha skinners and cyners will be at the front of the queue. :o)

Fred1new - 15 Apr 2013 20:04 - 23848 of 81564

For Hays and Dreams.

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are often foolish men, for they may believe their dreams and try to fulfil them with open eyes, to make them possible.

----------------------------

It seems Hays drank to much of the over proof spirits.

--------------
Cynic,

Has anybody told you recently that you are a silly little man.

I didn't realise that you commenced the thread or that you are the arbitrator of what should be posted.

If you are so tired, why not go and have a lie down.

Preferably, in front of an oncoming bus!

=============

Ps.

Found some more port I didn't realise I hadn't drunk. Have to check the dates.
-----

Hays,

By the way in the last cartoon, was that you and Cyns operating in the market?

Don't make mistakes tomorrow, you may need welfare support.

Fred1new - 15 Apr 2013 20:05 - 23849 of 81564

Hiliary,

How much did you charge for that picture?

dreamcatcher - 15 Apr 2013 20:08 - 23850 of 81564

Yep, your still a clown Fred. Lol
