Looking forward to new thread GF.

Will contribute with ideas and look forward to seeing other peoples opinion, so hopefully together we can all make a nice profit.

Regards spitfire.....

renesola on the up again before the results.all looks good for tomorrow,i hope.

cynic - 13 May 2008 14:01 - 2386 of 3050

i seems to recollect that Peter reckoned a decent support/resistance at 460 ..... sp hit that this morning, so read into it what you like .... for sure would not want to be short at the mo

ateeq180 - 13 May 2008 14:12 - 2387 of 3050

what you mean is to stay in or out at the moment,i can see this going far ahead than, what someone mentioned about 460p mark support level, well it tested that today at 10am,since than its up to new levels.

cynic - 13 May 2008 14:15 - 2388 of 3050

however, if figures are out tomorrow and if you currently hold, i would be very much inclined to sell at least part beforehand on the basis that the foreplay is nearly always more exciting than the climax

ateeq180 - 13 May 2008 14:19 - 2389 of 3050

are the results out at 1pm british time or 8am.

cynic - 13 May 2008 14:27 - 2390 of 3050

no idea ..... should imagine 13:00 UK time = 08:00 in NY

ateeq180 - 13 May 2008 14:28 - 2391 of 3050

thankyou.

dealerdear - 13 May 2008 14:45 - 2392 of 3050

Agree with cynic and decided to sell.
Anything could happen with this tomorrow. Could soar or be very heavily shorted.
If you've made your profit, why take the risk.

Greyhound - 13 May 2008 14:46 - 2393 of 3050

Happy to let this run higher now as the 500p resistance appears to have gone, for a return to the highs.

ptholden - 13 May 2008 16:38 - 2394 of 3050

.

ptholden - 13 May 2008 16:38 - 2395 of 3050

After the near vertical recovery from 200p the results had better be outstanding or SOLA will get smashed tomorrow!

ateeq180 - 13 May 2008 17:49 - 2396 of 3050

I think it will be a good run up to 12.59pm tomorrow, than once the results are annaounced then its any ones guess.

cynic - 13 May 2008 17:59 - 2397 of 3050

thoroughly agree Peter .... if one must dabble, then a short must be the favoured call, perhaps with a guaranteed stop just in case

ptholden - 13 May 2008 18:08 - 2398 of 3050

i recall last year after results announced SP pushed up by a significant amount and then collapsed during the day following some digestion so to speak.

halifax - 13 May 2008 18:21 - 2399 of 3050

Hope that they have not been effected by the earthquake?

cynic - 13 May 2008 20:14 - 2400 of 3050

affected!
look to short in the morning .... looks too far too fast

halifax - 13 May 2008 20:35 - 2401 of 3050

cynic I agree always thought their financials look amateurish for a chinese company!

cynic - 14 May 2008 06:52 - 2402 of 3050

all chinese financials look amateurish to european eyes, which should come as no surprise.

meanwhile
expect SOLA to open very strongly in london as the ADRs surged ahead in NY after london close.

at that point i shall serioulsy consider shorting, though with a sensible s/l in place .... the Q1 figures are due out at 13:00 and i cannot believe everything has not got way ahead of the game, almost regardless of how good the numbers.

cynic - 14 May 2008 12:43 - 2403 of 3050

SOLA's figures are out, and obviously very good as sp has jumped about 35p .... however, are they really sufficiently good to support the current sp?
