Re visit to the Easyfair Show.
Cut and Pasted from another site with the authors permission.
Obviously I can not vouch from this copy post.

Also went to the Easyfairs show and in truth not very impressive, of course they didn't say "yes Sir Mark we have done loads of deals and you going to see the SP rocket tomorrow" but there wasn't much to see, Frogmat samples FROGPACK Samples were given out and had some plastic trays on show but not much there.

I was hoping to see maybe GREENSEAL there working away, and some other product I haven't seen before, but unfortunately not.

Was worth going overall and was pleased with the company that I'm investing in, but if I was a teacher I would say "could have done better".

Just to finish the Chinese debate...Last night I went out for a Chinese. At the end I was given a fortune cookie. Guess what it said, Yes thats right....SEO will make you very very rich. So rich you will never have to work again.
OK don't believe me then.

Greek.

Mad Pad - 09 Mar 2007 07:39 - 23858 of 27111

Thanks Greek(large puddle?).I don't post on iii.Could you ask SirM if he enquired about the MMF's after all if they take only 6 months to build(Howard told me at the AGM!! )they should be nearly up and running by now. Were Martin or Clive on the stand and what else were they showing, any mention of Greenseal or wrap? Thanks

greekman - 09 Mar 2007 08:06 - 23859 of 27111

Sir M,

Stated the only info he received was contained in his post. Presumably as with most such fairs, confidentiality limits what is disclosed.
He did say " IT WAS NOT VERY IMPRESSIVE". I think he was expecting much more.
I remember a comment on one thread about a SEO stand at another show, about a year ago. Same comments were made re SEO's stand was very poor.
Could be the usual from SEO IE poor sales team, not very good at presentation.
I also rarely post on that site (on the SEO thread) as most posts are very childish, none content with little worth reading.

Have alook at 'Stashintheattic's Easyfairs Report. The poster spent some time [10mins] talking to the Logistics Manager.
Part of which;

'There main thrust was with the Frog Mat. It seems that HP (the PC manufacturer) has taken an interest in Frog Mat. They will begin trialing this as internal packaging when shipping computer hard drives.'

His post is worth a read.

Big Ted - 09 Mar 2007 09:16 - 23861 of 27111

fairly large sell of 6.5m at 1.18p sells at 8m vs well nothing really buying wise, and the sp back to where it was two weeks ago...

ths - 09 Mar 2007 11:15 - 23862 of 27111

Greek,

I would only tend to believe you if the fortune was written on WRAP 100 and the cookie was 'Pulselined' otherwise it was probably someone at the cookie factory having a laugh...
Hang On ! Just thought of a billion dollar money maker for Stanelco !

I am a member of Soroptimist International and last weekend we cleaned a small section of the south west coastline---38 black sacks filled in 4hours-500 small plastic bottles-55 large and other disgusting mixed rubbish. It really brings home how necessary it is to act on biodegradeable materials and the environmental importance of a company like SEO. I hold the shares but apart from that I really hope the company is successful.

hangon - 09 Mar 2007 11:46 - 23865 of 27111

The fact of Environmmental damage, energy shortages - - -etc. - - -does NOT mean that SEO will come good! All it means is "There is an Opportunity" - the problem with outfits like SEO is they have a so-so product and very so-so management who don't have a clue (Let's suppose). They waste shareholder money and time trying to do deals and look busy - but in reality their potential customers realise what a shower they are and look for an alternative. Lo and Behold another company comes along with a marginally better product (or not) but with Management that is making all the right noises and insists on committment....therefore the Supermarket Boss understands his options: Go with this new outfit (and it's looking good)...or wait for SEO to come round (again) with some other proposal that's not thought through...AND....
-Now, which would you go with?
Well, let's say: SEO sp tells it like it is ....=a so-so product and ever so Management....what other explanation can there be?

As to "wait until the...(insert any date)..."
Yep, I'm waiting, but why should this be the breakthrough that we've been expecting?....unless of course the whole board's been stricken by food alergy and we get a fresh Start.

In summary, poor management will always have something "about to happen" but will only achieve alerting their competition to potential business; thereby losing the "first-mover" advantage. Does anyone remember when the starch product was first released? Or the CD packing? which is so old consumers have moved not on to DVD, but Blue-Ray DVD...Arrgh...it gets worse before it gets better.

(PS this stock was 28p not that long ago, on hope)....
+My thanks to MoneyPlus for their clean-up efforts.+

So you are in for the long term ?

bosley - 09 Mar 2007 13:11 - 23867 of 27111

this company has recently done a deal with pret a manger to provide compostable sandwich boxes.

there are alternatives out there who are doing deals

garyble - 09 Mar 2007 13:59 - 23868 of 27111

well said hangon!

I believe there will correction: not be a major revelation come the annual results, just most probably an indication of another step or two in the right direction....hopefully.

dawall - 09 Mar 2007 15:11 - 23869 of 27111

Madpad don't get your hopes up about 2 MMFs up and running, if SEO had even agreed a deal and started to build we would have heard about it as it is just about the most share price sensitive piece of info. they could release at present. No news (RNS) omn MMFs to me means that they are still trying to negotiate with either new parties or renetiotiate with those parties that signed letters of intent way back in September. There is a 3rd option of course but one that doesn't bear thinking about. I also think given the news blackout of the last 5 months when something does come it is going to have to be good or they are in big trouble. ON RESULTS DAY I ALSO WANT TO SEE SOME CLARIFICATION OF WHAT BIOTECH ARE PLANNING TO MANUFACTURE AND SELL IN 2007.

Cheers

driver - 09 Mar 2007 15:21 - 23870 of 27111

dawall
"Price sensitive piece of info" that would be a first.

Bos
I imagine there are plenty of companies doing similar deals while this pig is fast asleep, when we first invested three years back I predicted the sp to be about 150p by now, I now officially apologise for that ramp if any one bought on the back of it.

Mad Pad - 09 Mar 2007 15:47 - 23871 of 27111

Dawall, shouldn't no news mean "progressing as prospectus"?Hopefully some light will be shed on the situation on 21st.

automatic - 09 Mar 2007 16:02 - 23872 of 27111

OH DEAR, lot of selling going on, has something LEAKED (apart from me)

greekman - 09 Mar 2007 19:07 - 23873 of 27111

Patisear,

Read Stashintheattics post, it does give a bit more but still not much.
I appreciate re confidentiality at these do's but would liked to have more evidence of a good sales force/promotional teams efforts.

kimoldfield - 10 Mar 2007 10:01 - 23874 of 27111

Sounds to me that the Easyfair stand was a bit of a disappointment to some; have to say that it does not put me off at this stage. There is a possibility that as ASDA no longer have exclusivity as far as Greenseal is concerned, this has merely been extended to a few other companies, so that for the moment there would be no need to spend time and money advertising the product - that would come through proof of product after it is in full swing. If this is the case then SEO were right to concentrate on Frog products, sales of which look set to leap (sorry!). My confidence is growing daily due to the lack of large scale selling by the institutions involved with SEO; it is now far too late for discreet selling by them and they surely would not risk losing a not insignificant amount of cash at this late stage..................would they?

Mad Pad - 10 Mar 2007 11:15 - 23875 of 27111

Good link on the dark side post,81480.I especially like the bit"A SPECIAL NEW FILM MADE FROM CORNSTARCH".Lets hope it's Starpol 3000.Watch" stores must cut packaging" video.

garyble - 10 Mar 2007 21:48 - 23876 of 27111

Mad Pad,

I believe Wrap 100 is a starch based alternative to waxed paper, not a clear film.
