there are alternatives out there who are doing deals

garyble - 09 Mar 2007 13:59 - 23868 of 27111

well said hangon!

I believe there will correction: not be a major revelation come the annual results, just most probably an indication of another step or two in the right direction....hopefully.

dawall - 09 Mar 2007 15:11 - 23869 of 27111

Madpad don't get your hopes up about 2 MMFs up and running, if SEO had even agreed a deal and started to build we would have heard about it as it is just about the most share price sensitive piece of info. they could release at present. No news (RNS) omn MMFs to me means that they are still trying to negotiate with either new parties or renetiotiate with those parties that signed letters of intent way back in September. There is a 3rd option of course but one that doesn't bear thinking about. I also think given the news blackout of the last 5 months when something does come it is going to have to be good or they are in big trouble. ON RESULTS DAY I ALSO WANT TO SEE SOME CLARIFICATION OF WHAT BIOTECH ARE PLANNING TO MANUFACTURE AND SELL IN 2007.

Cheers

dawall
"Price sensitive piece of info" that would be a first.

Bos
I imagine there are plenty of companies doing similar deals while this pig is fast asleep, when we first invested three years back I predicted the sp to be about 150p by now, I now officially apologise for that ramp if any one bought on the back of it.

Mad Pad - 09 Mar 2007 15:47 - 23871 of 27111

Dawall, shouldn't no news mean "progressing as prospectus"?Hopefully some light will be shed on the situation on 21st.

automatic - 09 Mar 2007 16:02 - 23872 of 27111

OH DEAR, lot of selling going on, has something LEAKED (apart from me)

greekman - 09 Mar 2007 19:07 - 23873 of 27111

Patisear,

Read Stashintheattics post, it does give a bit more but still not much.
I appreciate re confidentiality at these do's but would liked to have more evidence of a good sales force/promotional teams efforts.

kimoldfield - 10 Mar 2007 10:01 - 23874 of 27111

Sounds to me that the Easyfair stand was a bit of a disappointment to some; have to say that it does not put me off at this stage. There is a possibility that as ASDA no longer have exclusivity as far as Greenseal is concerned, this has merely been extended to a few other companies, so that for the moment there would be no need to spend time and money advertising the product - that would come through proof of product after it is in full swing. If this is the case then SEO were right to concentrate on Frog products, sales of which look set to leap (sorry!). My confidence is growing daily due to the lack of large scale selling by the institutions involved with SEO; it is now far too late for discreet selling by them and they surely would not risk losing a not insignificant amount of cash at this late stage..................would they?

Mad Pad - 10 Mar 2007 11:15 - 23875 of 27111

Good link on the dark side post,81480.I especially like the bit"A SPECIAL NEW FILM MADE FROM CORNSTARCH".Lets hope it's Starpol 3000.Watch" stores must cut packaging" video.

garyble - 10 Mar 2007 21:48 - 23876 of 27111

Mad Pad,

I believe Wrap 100 is a starch based alternative to waxed paper, not a clear film.

qtheman - 10 Mar 2007 23:47 - 23877 of 27111

Lets face it, if they give a jot about shows around the UK for "Dev's" corner shops then trouble is even closer than I ever thought. Who gives a flying f&*k about these shows. Its about real deals with big companies that count. Oh well, back to Dev? Away for a month's skiing in the USA Oblo, catch u later!

pinnacle - 11 Mar 2007 01:46 - 23878 of 27111

Enjoy your skiing - but keep an eye on the news issued on the 21st March!!

Can't you see what is developing?

They do not need to let us know of everything that is actually happening - would you?

oblomov - 11 Mar 2007 09:47 - 23879 of 27111

Hi Q -

enjoy the skiing. Apologies to others for going OT, but not much (good)to say about SEO at the moment so I'll keep off that subject so as not to harm the sensitiviies of some here!.

I got back from Zermatt yesterday - back out there next week. Excellent conditions, good off-piste. Prince William (and friends) was there all week on his hols. Decent skier. Not as good as us though, Q!

Mad Pad - 12 Mar 2007 09:55 - 23880 of 27111

Garbyle, sorry meant to say Starpol 3000,believe this can be made into a clear film, unlike 2000 which is opaque.

garyble - 12 Mar 2007 10:53 - 23881 of 27111

No probs Mad Pad, thought that might have been the case!

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2007 12:44 - 23882 of 27111

Talking to the guy who has Chinese connections today, and now I understand (though do not neccesarily believe) the link.
The Chinese community buying into SEO are the owners and associates of a Chinese supermarket who are saying that the providers of Chinese goods are ordering the purchase of them wrapped in SEO product because they see it as an environmentally friendly approach to shipping!!
They consider the packaging worthwhile to minimise pollution if and when cargo is lost during sea transportation, as plastic would kill marine life and Starpol would not.
The logic is fatally flawed for obvious reasons, but if there is an order, why should I care??
Secondly, the debate over the 24th being a Saturday was that a press launch was planned for then. I do not particularly believe that either, but who knows.
Alan

driver - 12 Mar 2007 12:59 - 23883 of 27111

Mmm Starpol very good to fishes.

oblomov - 12 Mar 2007 13:44 - 23884 of 27111

Blimey Alan, you dont half come out with them. First the imaginary friend and now the Chinamen! China is hardly known for being very concerned about the environment.

You're not a ex-scriptwriter for Jackanory by any chance , are you?

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2007 14:03 - 23885 of 27111

Not talented enough.
And I never said I believed any of it.
i am reporting, verbatim, what is said to me.
Take it or leave it, no skin off my nose.
FWIW, I think I am either being fed a line or the person saying it to me has little, if any understanding of the issues, or of those investing the money. If I were ramping, I would have come up with something much better than that, and wouldn't have included the bits about not believing it.
On the subject of the imaginary friend, those who know me and communicate with me, know this person is very real, and they even know who he is.
Alan

Chinese products wrapped in SEO's products on the off chance a ship might sink! I have heard some ridiculous things on this BB but that tops the lot by a long way!
