Looking at the hourly chart I notice that we've got a crossover - first since the crossover giving us the recent rise. My interpretation of this is that the odds are on a continued decline - what do you think?

Currently flat - although my bear head is telling me to short.

Divetime - 17 Dec 2004 08:03 - 2400 of 11056

Prodman thanks for that.

mg - 17 Dec 2004 08:09 - 2401 of 11056

Being naughty - short from 344

Tellon - 17 Dec 2004 08:17 - 2402 of 11056

Went long from 309 myself. Im B/E now.

Not to confident in the trade but nothing to lose now

mg - 17 Dec 2004 08:21 - 2403 of 11056

Tellon
Yours looks a lot better than mine - serves me right for not following the rules - just a born rebel - nose, cut and spite myself comes to mind ;(

hilary - 17 Dec 2004 08:29 - 2404 of 11056

mg,

Today looks to me like an up day for cable. I'm sure though that it'll pullback at some stage during the morning to give you another long entry. That early bit of whipiness will have thrown a few.

mg - 17 Dec 2004 08:36 - 2405 of 11056

hilary
Thanks - stopped out of my impetuous short for -30.

Will I learn - well give me a bit of time - still early days in my apprenticeship with this new weapon ;)

hilary - 17 Dec 2004 08:39 - 2406 of 11056

You've probably missed the best early long entry, but why not try leaving a buy order to catch a retracement?

mg - 17 Dec 2004 08:45 - 2407 of 11056

Consider it done mistress ;)

hilary - 17 Dec 2004 09:02 - 2408 of 11056

They like the ifo.

mg - 17 Dec 2004 09:12 - 2409 of 11056

Well done Tellon

[EDIT - forgot to say absolutely cracking call hilary - I'm just soooooooo impressed - must try harder to get this right - it's a dream if you get it right - but monster if you get it wrong ]

Tellon - 17 Dec 2004 10:14 - 2410 of 11056

Thanks, Im out for +100 today.

I had to leave the screen so left a 100limit on as I comutted to work..

Out at 1.9420, would have been my exit on my rules as well.. So not bad..

Makes this my Third week in the black.

Any one have any views on trading next week? Volume/Volatility and that?

hilary - 17 Dec 2004 10:30 - 2411 of 11056

Well done, T. I think that next week will be fine for day trading if you just stick to the system. Anybody in a longer term trade might find that their trend lines and oscillators go a bit screwy over the Xmas break.

hodgins - 17 Dec 2004 10:42 - 2412 of 11056

Certainly a lot of potential earlier in the pound but I was short $/Swiss (something to do with rates/intervention/safe haven-I think?). Well I've got a trailing stop in for a small handful but nothing to write home about.
Anyone seeing enough of a retracement on the pound for another belated long attempt

hodgins - 17 Dec 2004 11:00 - 2413 of 11056

CPI guessing?
0.2 consensus headline dropping but core number better which may mix up markets?
Canadian figure out earlier and that gave good indication on last weeks figures.

Tellon - 17 Dec 2004 11:29 - 2414 of 11056

Cheers Hill..

I think Friday being a bank holiday in U.S I'll give it a miss. But I'll try Mon - Thu then.

CPI Im going 0.0(Or Less) and 0.3 As my prediction.

and CPI 3.0 (Going Down)
