moneyplus - 01 Sep 2008 16:17 - 27 of 593

looks as though we're regaining momentum at last. I hope the news is very good if it's coming!

required field - 03 Sep 2008 12:40 - 28 of 593

Great drilling result, 14363 barels approx. per day is tremendous, now on with the next well !.

mitzy - 03 Sep 2008 13:29 - 29 of 593

Blimey a share I own going up.

HARRYCAT - 03 Sep 2008 14:24 - 30 of 593

Broker consensus on Selftrade is target price of 530p (dated 01.09.08)
Take with a large pinch of salt, but interesting nevertheless that they are watching this one.

moneyplus - 03 Sep 2008 14:27 - 31 of 593

I'm in for a few more now as it's looking good--massive amounts of oil anounced in the field it shares with Tullow and regular posters on the other side think tlw might bid for it. hope so!!

mitzy - 10 Sep 2008 14:58 - 32 of 593

another loser.

required field - 21 Oct 2008 09:10 - 33 of 593

Another discovery....even though I'm at a loss here....looks like a future star.....more oil than Idi Amin could have dreamt of !.

moneyplus - 21 Oct 2008 11:18 - 34 of 593

Down again...more gloom and doom....along with the rest of the market, some of the valuations are just crazy.....GFM, HAWK, just to mention a few...terrible market !.

cynic - 21 Jan 2009 13:18 - 36 of 593

partner with TLW in the massive Ghana/Uganda find ...... TLW has dumped of late due to the well-found rumour that they needed some more capital to develop further .... this has been raised with ease at 600 and TLW is recovering nicely ..... HOIL has suffered in the backwash, but must surely be good value on fundamentals with the added possibility of being a t/o target

have just topped up at 187.5

robertalexander - 23 Jan 2009 20:04 - 37 of 593

12% drop today. why does it always do that after i have bought some. :

cynic - 23 Jan 2009 20:07 - 38 of 593

snap and have no idea .... certainly no news and perhaps, judging by the volume, a fund liquidating its position under pressure

goldfinger - 24 Jan 2009 01:43 - 39 of 593

Cash position not as bullish as some would make out.

Company has net debt so therefore the case for a takover isnt as compeling as some would have you believe.

I was short down to 187p but closed out now.

Some over the road talking of a fund raising.

required field - 24 Jan 2009 15:02 - 40 of 593

TLW to do a Hardman on Heritage (takeover).....at some point !, it's possible.

cynic - 24 Jan 2009 16:38 - 41 of 593

as i hold both and TLW and/or HOIL is quite likely to be taken over in turn, these could be exciting stocks to have in the portfolio over the coming months

cynic - 16 Feb 2009 08:07 - 42 of 593

worth reading the last couple of announcements re Kingfisher2 in Uganda and also looking at the chart below ..... a certain sour-puss on this BB maintains that HOIL is o'valued, and who is to say she is not right ..... however, the market does not seem to think so, and remember this is not just some mini-minnow with blue sky

latest RNS .....

Independent upstream exploration and production company Heritage Oil has revealed that output of oil and associated gas production has started from Oman's West Bukha field.
The field in Block 8 is located in the Strait of Hormuz and Heritage has a 10% working interest.
It said initial gross flow rates of approximately 15,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, comprising 10,000 barrels of 42 degree API oil and 30 million cubic feet per day of associated gas
It says West Bukha field has additional untapped potential and provides a significant increase in current production levels for Heritage

i wonder if "raddled queen" aka "kate barnes" would care to make another of her useful contributions ...... doubtful i would guess!
