just released Ultrasis PLC
10 August 2005

Ultrasis PLC
('the Company')

ULTRASIS SEALS 'TRAILBLAZING' DEAL WITH HALTON PRIMARY CARE TRUST

Interactive healthcare specialists Ultrasis have agreed a groundbreaking deal
with Halton Primary Care Trust (HPCT), which will see patients receiving
computer based products to treat a wide range of conditions in a variety of
settings from GP surgeries to local clinics, community centres and their places
of work. The initiative will enable the trust to offer an unprecedented range of
computer based interactive healthcare programs to the people of Halton as an
integral component of the government's choice and choosing health programme.

Under the agreement, HPCT and their partner organisations will be supplied a
licence to use a suite of different programs, including the Ultrasis acclaimed
and NICE kite-marked depression treatment Beating the Blues as well as programs
from the Calm Workplace series. The products will be used to combat a number of
health challenges ranging from work related stress, depression, anxiety,
insomnia, drink and drug misuse to chronic health conditions such as Angina,
Diabetes and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

All the programs are easy to use and have been designed for people with no
previous computer experience. The people who live and work within the HPCT area
will be able to access the wide range of computerised treatments, allowing them
the opportunity to positively affect their own health and work in partnership
with local health, social care and voluntary sector staff to achieve this.

Laura McMurtrie, Chief Executive of HPCT described the partnership as 'a major
chance to improve the range of services available for Halton people and as a
result to improve their health. This really will help to put patients right at
the centre of NHS improvements in their health care.'

Ultrasis CEO Graham Lewis said; 'This is both a strategically and financially
significant agreement for Ultrasis, and one which could be emulated in other NHS
Trusts and the wider health service around the country. We are confident that
this 18 month 'trailblazer' partnership will further demonstrate the
acceptability, efficiency and effectiveness of interactive healthcare solutions
and firmly positions our products as integral components in mainstream health
care delivery in the NHS.'
