have fun - My liver wouldn't stand it - hope to be there next year too :o)

Bones - 02 Dec 2005 22:39 - 241 of 334

Back home after leaving at a sensible time. Great event! Where do I start?

Good to meet the regulars; firstly Bullie, The Count, Amberjane, Big Al and The Guvnor for the "earnest" discussion at the dinner table. Not sure we got to the bottom of that but at least we know some people don't like it up 'em!

Also good to meet Gausie, Choccie, MG, Greystone and Stormcaller again. All on fine form as usual. edit: Not forgetting Jules and the Dynamities!

Also on fine form was Big Al - pleased to meet up at last. I'll be calling you Rubberman from now on, Al. I've never seen someone sway so much without moving their feet, yet stay standing. Not sure you'll remember what you were saying but it was fun :)

Look forward to the next one!!

Andy - 03 Dec 2005 00:30 - 242 of 334

I would just like to express my thanks for an excellent lunch to Bully and IanT.

I would also like to apologise to those I couldn't say goodbye to, as I had to dash to catch the train.

I enjoyed meeting old friends as well as new ones, and hope next year is as good!

Kayak - 03 Dec 2005 01:01 - 243 of 334

Back home after leaving at not so sensible a time.

Great fun as always.

Did Bullie manage to get to the strip joint in the end? :-)

MightyMicro - 03 Dec 2005 01:13 - 244 of 334

K: Bullie? Strip joint? Tell more!

Bullshare - 03 Dec 2005 09:16 - 245 of 334

Great day and night out. nuff said:-)

Big Al - 03 Dec 2005 11:16 - 246 of 334

It is the morning after the night after the day before. Currently in LHR waiting for transport north. Head in good condition surprisingly. Was up and at 'em by 7:30, which was amazing!

Brilliant to meet everyone, some again and others new. Was particularly pleased to see the Ozzie babe looking great. Also pleased to see my chaperones of 2 years ago turned up, but they were not needed. ;-))

I didn't last the whole night out - I know when my drink meter says "ENOUGH!!" It would've been highly embarrassing to have fallen over, Bones.

Ruth - 03 Dec 2005 14:49 - 247 of 334

Good to see you all had a good do,Sounds like it was a good meet,
Big Al, you werent pissed by any chance was you?:-)

well i can spill the beans now, the reason i couldnt come was because shoguns missus rang me up 2 weeks ago to tell me she was organising a surprise 40th bithday do for him, when i checked the diary it was the same day as the xmas do,
Shogun at that time hadnt even remembered it was his birthday, and he hadnt even told his other half he was going to London for the day, so i had to try and make sure he stayed here in Manchester on the Friday, but away from his own house as the prerations were taking place.
Well he did realise it was his birthday when he went back on the thread and took a closer look at the date, we thought for a minute he had sussed us out, but he didnt have a clue and was shocked on his return home last night to a surprise 40th do,
I was very ill yesterday and had to leave his party after an hour or so, so theres no way i could have travelled down to London anyway, even if it hadnt been his birthday an we were stil booked in,
But we will be there next year, unless someone else is 40 and keeping it secret from his/her fellow traders.:-)

Greystone - 03 Dec 2005 17:57 - 248 of 334

Thanks all for a great day out. Good to see so many old friends again.

How come The Count still looks as young as he did when I first met him xxxx years ago? One of those biotech plays of his must supply him with Peter Pan serum.. ;-)

And, Martini in ringlets....!? Had Amber and Choccie after the name of his hairdresser..... ;-)

Good fun and home safe. Sounds like no-one slept past their stop this year. Must have been tamer than I thought.

niggle - 03 Dec 2005 18:44 - 249 of 334

The Count - 04 Dec 2005 15:28 - 256 of 334

THE COUNT--->ALL

Thanks to all at Money AM for arranging a great get together once again....it had been a while since I have personally met up with other investors at Christmas...and it served to remind me what fun I have missed out on in recent years. Good to see both old investing friends of mine along with new ones too.

I have only just got in front of my PC since Friday to type up this post.

Alan, you know what they say....my fangs feast on Jungfrau blood when the sun goes down...it's supposed to keep me young for eternity...well, I hope for a few years longer at least!!!!! :-) Well, that's what Martini told me when he re-created me as the Prince of Darkness.

Mind you, neither you nor Martini nor Mike have changed much in the years I've known you either. Perhaps you are all on the same diet. But aren't these virgins getting hard to find and feast upon nowadays?

Hope everyone got back home OK as they planned and didn't end up 'roughing it' at places like New street station in the early hours. :-)

Thanks again to all for a really good time. I can't wait till the next one. I'm missing the banter and the company already.

Keep well and have a great Christmas.

Regards,

THE COUNT!

Bobcolby - 05 Dec 2005 11:43 - 257 of 334

Hi everyone. I really enjoyed my day (and night) out. So nice to meet old friends and new. Did not sleep thro my stop this year because I overnighted at hotel round corner. Greystone escorted me back. Had a "Health day" on Saturday and defeated the Captain and pro in an epic game of golf on sunday. I missed most of bullies earnest discussion, fortunately.

Bob

rayrac - 05 Dec 2005 14:09 - 258 of 334

Very very sorry to have missed it and the meet up with old friends. Been a tough weekend for me, 2 nights hotel, dinner and 2 shows! Although my wife did take a friend to one show (Rat Pack) and the hotel did charge just one night expence, so it could have been worse!

I still feel 'under the weather', cough etc, but improving slowly. I'll make it next year....even if it kills me. :)

Big Al - 05 Dec 2005 14:41 - 259 of 334

Afternoon all. Been putting life back together and buying up the world. ;-))

Been trying to remember Friday - you guessed it, Ruthy, I was quite far gone. Last time it was mg's fault, this time theguvnor's. Whoever put me and him at the end of the table with all the wine was nuts. Please seperate us in future! ;-)) Mind you, I did get a text from my son saying he'd got an unconditional acceptance for university this year, so that probably didn't help either.

I've a big blank from about 4pm in the restaurant to about 10pm in another having steak and chips. After that I do remember calling it a day and making it back to the hotel. Also a few quick glimpses of the bar in between, particularly seeing Angela and her man, but that's it.

Oh, don't remember checking into hotel either!

Got a feeling I may have been boisterous in the extreme. Apologies to those who didn't need it!!

Anyway, brilliant to meet one and all!
