>>From their website :- "Sealed Air Solves Robert Rothschild Farm's Packaging >>Jam" So you can see, the jam tomorrow is there, if only we could get the lid off >>the pot!

Yes. Reminds me of the Rolling Stones line :
"Stanelco holders just want to get F%%%ed all night. I just don't have enough Jam" ....

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 09:51 - 24007 of 27111

Thinking about it, maybe we should forget the jam - after all, when the lid does come off the pot all you get is a sticky mess. That is NOT Stanelco's future, packaging glory is the future, Starpol/GREENSEAL that jam in I say.

"The underlying trading loss before exceptional items for the period, 6.4m, was
in line with management's expectations at the time of the placing in November
2006. A strategic review of the business identified a series of measures which
were taken during the period and has resulted in the charge of a number of
one-off largely non-cash items. The Board viewed these measures as important
for the long-term benefit of the Company. The net loss following these
decisions is 14.8m."

bloody hell !!

dawall - 21 Mar 2007 10:23 - 24009 of 27111

Starpol 4000 golf tees, I can hardly wait!

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 10:25 - 24010 of 27111

No worries Bosley, new management, new Stanelco, new Starpol products, ciggy filter ongoing...........we haven't heard any of that before...............er, have we?

bosley - 21 Mar 2007 10:26 - 24011 of 27111

dawall, what a great excuse for when you hit a crap shot. you can simply turn around and explain that your starpol 4000 tee biodegraded on your down swing :))

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 10:26 - 24012 of 27111

I still believe in this company, I am off to my psychiatrist now to see if he still believes he is a fish.

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 10:28 - 24013 of 27111

Wouldn't biodegradable golf balls be more appropriate? Especially the ones that always end in the lake just off the third hole?

ths - 21 Mar 2007 10:39 - 24014 of 27111

Never mind the golf tees. This company has ruined my golf game. If half of what they promised had materialized I'd be playing 3 mornings a week and have a course - side villa in Portugal to visit every 6 weeks for a tune up.
As it stands it a quick trip down to the driving range at lunch on Friday if I can find a few coppers in my pocket for a bucket

micky468 - 21 Mar 2007 10:49 - 24015 of 27111

if someone is looking to put money into a shaer try Ultrasis (ULT) the S/P is going up today on (SEO) news

blanche - 21 Mar 2007 10:57 - 24016 of 27111

Here we are 3 hours into the race, its neck and neck buyers v sellers no real major players out there. All we are getting is doom and gloom on the board. Lets have some positive comments from some of the people that have been buying in this morning! Big boys must have faith in the company because where are they.
I now wish i had brought a few more earlier @ 1.03
My opinion and iam no expert is last year a skoda with a granny driving, but now with a ferrari engine and jenson button driving.
FINGERS CROSSED!!!!!!!!!

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 11:02 - 24017 of 27111

Blanche, Surely Lewis Hamilton driving?!

jimward9 - 21 Mar 2007 11:04 - 24018 of 27111

Don't worry lads, all the management are working extremly hard and have been for weeks, testing and testing again these new Starpol 4000 golf tees.

blanche - 21 Mar 2007 11:09 - 24019 of 27111

K, Surely anybody is better than Granny, in theory thats what weve got now.

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 11:15 - 24020 of 27111

Lol Jim

Blanche, couldn't agree more; you should've seen my Granny drive!

micky468 - 21 Mar 2007 11:16 - 24021 of 27111

blanche - 21 Mar 2007 11:29 - 24022 of 27111

Micky
Iam in the same boat, brought at the start, on the way up, on the way down. now probally going to buy again on the way up. Always thought this would bottom out near 1p so not far off this morning.
Got to nip out check out board again later.

driver - 21 Mar 2007 13:15 - 24023 of 27111

Good result then NOT

jimward9
They can have Starpol 10000 but until we get orders this pig isnt going anywhere if they never get orders then the Starpol can biodegrade in the scrap yard.

Gordon Brown hasnt mentioned stanelco once yet LOL.

kimoldfield - 21 Mar 2007 14:13 - 24024 of 27111

Could not resist the fact that I could make a profit on my last purchase (not overall!) so have reduced my holding to 500k ftb. Good news will see me putting cash back in but until the Stanelco view that "Although there may be further challenges ahead" and, "following our strategic review we believe that Stanelco is well placed to maximise opportunities to
commercialise its products." becomes more the latter than the former plus there is more clarity concerning "The Board have made provision during the year against the estimated liabilities associated with the strategic review. This provision of 709,000 includes
estimates of costs related to the departure of Directors and employees and also
other operational obligations. The Board considers that disclosure of more
detailed information would be prejudicial to the business in concluding these
matters.", then I shall just sit tight.

hewittalan6 - 21 Mar 2007 14:15 - 24025 of 27111

Landfill tax up 8 per tonne, says Gordon, to appease environmentalists and give some hope to the beleagured masses of SEO investors.
Corporation tax down 2%. No effect at all on SEO, but the rise in fuel duty and raod tax will hit hard on the fleets of Bentleys the baord drive.
Thank God there was no VAT added to flight tickets, as the tories wanted.
None of us can afford a holiday on these reults and it would worsen the SEO financial position as due to the directors fact finding and sales missions to sunny climes during the cold winter months.
