Not quite an armful Spacie!
That's ok KEAYDIAN, you keep chewing, you must have reached that wasp by now! Hee,hee!
Could I please have some of everything Bunny? I'm VERRRRY hungry!
Doc says I have to cut my cholesterol levels by more than half due to new guidelines but as I won't get my results until Wednesday I can eat what I like can't I?!

I got caught out on the new cholesterol thing, I had been borderline for years then they reduced the recommended LDL/HDH ratio from 5 to 4 and I suddenly became a risk, so now I am on statins.
I find they go very well with Danish pastries and Guinness.

I was put on statins but I had a bad reaction to them, so I'm going to be trying one of the alternatives from Wednesday I suspect! I blame my doctor, I was sooooo healthy until I was called in for a routine blood check last year; I was told I am diabetic and cholesterol's too high - WHAT?! I was fine before the blood test! ;o)

Shocking isn't it Kim ;>)
Well you know what to do chaps - lots of veggies and fruit, get to like Quorn etc and cut the meats, especially the cured types - bacon, pepperoni et-al, sausauges in general, ham and so on and for gawds sake don't go near that disgusting black pudding stuff or anything with meat sourced suet in it.....so let's review Xmas dinner......
Roast turkey IN but skin OUT
Roast tatties and parsnips - a MAYBE if you haven't been eating roasted/fried a lot but OUT if you like them done in any type of meat/poultry fat.
Spouts IN - bet you're thrilled about that ;>)
Carrots IN
Peas IN
Gravy - MAYBE if you will have it made with the veggie water and not meat juices laced with fat.
Chipolates - OUT
Bacon rolls - OUT
Chestnut stuffing - IN if it is a dried mix and not with chopped bacon, sausage meat or added fat in it.
Cranberry Sauce - IN
Bread Sauce - OUT, contains butter & milk.
Xmas Pudding - OUT - too rich, butter or suet etc
Mince pies - OUT - suet/pastry fats
Custard - well we wont bother with that cos you've got nothing to go with it!
Cheese and biccies - OUT - cheese is high in fat, crackers are pretty sinful too.
Fresh Fruit - IN
and watch the booze of course, as its bad for weight etc.
Wow bet you can't wait to Christmas now! LOL
(I think I'll hide away now in case I get linched) ;>)

But...but....but, that's not a Christmas Dinner! That's not a Christmas Day at the Kim house!!!
Kim's Christmas Day.
Pre Christmas morning. Sneak into the kids' rooms and turn their clocks back 5 hours. Paint the windows black.
8.00 am
Better half and i get up. Breakfast. Black pudding, bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms and fried bread. My wife has a bowl of cereal.
8.30 am Prepare turkey and shove, push, heave it into the oven.
9.00 am
First glass of champagne.
9.01 am
Second glass of champagne. Feign total surprise when the kids rush in to say their clocks are all wrong and the windows are black again. Nod wisely and say "Ah, it must have been Santa again, he wanted you to get lots of sleep so you'd have the strength to open all your presents!" (Beginning to think that, as the youngest is now 24, the reason doesn't quite have the same air of truth about it any more)
9.30 am
Third glass of champagne, surrounded by shredded wrapping paper.
10 am
Go back to bed while the kids wreck the house.
10.01 am
Finish third bottle of champagne.
1 pm
Get up to start preparing rest of dinner, pausing for a glass of champagne. Begin to giggle for no reason.
2 pm
Champagne time!
3 pm
Laughing uncontrollably, put pots pans etc on to boil. Have a glass of champagne.
3.01 pm
Take pots pans etc off stove having realised we've put them on an hour too soon. Laugh hysterically. Spill champagne.
4.30 pm
Put pans, pots and oven gloves on to boil, half an hour late. Have glass of champagne to sober up.
5.00 pm
Start serving up, then remember that we've forgotten to make the bread sauce and to pick up Aunty Ethel.........It starts to go downhill from that point...........

Morning Spacie, it's cold and windy here.....and I suppose it should be! Are you hiding in the Bush or behind a bush?
I'll try to rustle up your culinary requirements, as you know, I'm not an expert. Here we go then, kettle on, oven on to warm the Danish.........shouldn't be long.
