Bugz
he must have known he was on the way out, or SEO was going nowhere fast

Mad Pad - 29 Mar 2007 09:50 - 24083 of 27111

Bugs ,AFC are planning to float on AIM next month and are looking to raise 5m ,see Tuesdays FT.It will be interesting to see if it will be ramped by the issuing of persistant RNS's like SEO was in Howards time.(new thread?)

robinhood - 29 Mar 2007 10:21 - 24084 of 27111

apologies for being on this thread but anyone looked at AXS of late? (worth hvng a look at) Also do any of you know which broker will allow you to place trailing stop loss orders? FYI TD waterhouse does not give me that option

Jonk1 - 29 Mar 2007 11:06 - 24085 of 27111

I've been watching AXS and am a bit confused. Are they 2.6 pence or 2.6 euro's?

Fred1new - 29 Mar 2007 11:12 - 24086 of 27111

RH, Seltrade and Barclays give stop losses, one give trailing stop losses. But be careful as Selftrade has let me down and traded thro' stop losses and on the last occasion, because I hadn't checked stopped me out on the way back up. Bloody nuisance. I am getting a little fed up with Selftrade over the last few months,

Fred1new - 29 Mar 2007 11:16 - 24087 of 27111

Stop losses are a nightmare, the more I try to get them right the more difficult it seems to be. Many say it is more difficult to sell than to buy and I tend to believe them. But generally even though disappointed at the time or for a few days, later looking back I have been happier about some escapes.

robinhood - 29 Mar 2007 11:23 - 24088 of 27111

jonk 1- axs is currently trading at euro 2.60 p/s (not bad considering the s/p was euro 1.06 in oct '05

robinhood - 29 Mar 2007 11:27 - 24089 of 27111

fred1new- think trailing stop losses are great., provided the broker executes them properly- reckon -10% from its latest highs at least prevents you from "falling in love" with the share and -if you got it right in the first place- guarantees you money in the pocket

danny52 - 29 Mar 2007 11:29 - 24090 of 27111

i was really depressed till i came into this board, currently i,m a holder with ult, who never seem to manage to get anything right, have been with them over 2 years, the last 2 days have been a total nightmare, just when i thought we were turning the corner bang down they went.i have been looking at seo for several months trying to decide whether to buy or just wait, luckily i decided to wait, anyway reading some of your posts left me with a big smile on my face, some even made me laugh, which i havent done for a while. i sincerely hope things get better for you, as by the sounds of things they cant get any worse. albeit i,m in the same boat without a paddle, just like the people in charge. hope you dont mind me gatecrashing your party.good luck

nyleve - 29 Mar 2007 13:42 - 24091 of 27111

Hi danny - you have to have a sense of humour on this thread, it's all ups and downs - well, in SEO's case, all downs. Many of us have held for a long time, living in hope. At least it can't fall much further - can it ????
I to dabbled in ULT a while ago, got sea sick going up and down like a yo yo !
Never mind, hang on in there !
Dave

Have to watch and see if age of reason start off loading SEO to buy AFC,

tweenie - 29 Mar 2007 17:04 - 24093 of 27111

given the level of trading over the past few days, I guess theres hardly any day/s/t traders or 'punters' left.......
Unless SEO start digging , I think the bottom of this very deep pit's been reached.
No doubt an RNS promising JAM TOMMORROW and notifying us of a failure will follow shortly.
:-)

Heat sealing reduces salad packaging and spoilage

By George Reynolds
29/03/2007 - A new a way to seal flexible film packaging reduces the amount of material required and extends the shelf life of products, according to results of recent trials.

For full article see link. It is well worth a read. Perhaps SEO should be sent a copy.

WHY can't SEO get their finger out and move like this company.

Note the comment....The Courtauld Commitment is an agreement between 13 retailers and WRAP, and was developed in partnership with UK Government administrations.
You will also note the companies mentioned. All the big names are there. Is this a big threat to SEO, as this company gets it's feet under the table.

Mad Pad - 29 Mar 2007 18:47 - 24095 of 27111

Automatic,I consider it unlikely.HW must be aware of the upside in Stanelco if not I think he would of reduced "his "holdings by a lot more by now,but one to watch all the same.

Mad Pad - 29 Mar 2007 19:13 - 24096 of 27111

Thought for the evening. If a deal is in the pipeline with Mac D/Persico it will not be held up due to a shortage of PLA cos wrap 100 does not require PLA..(Thanks to PM for the facts.)

blanche - 29 Mar 2007 20:09 - 24097 of 27111

Heard the back end of an item on Radio 2 today about either the state of California or a city in California has banned the use of plastic bags in its shops. They are now only aloud to supply their goods in Either a Recycled Bag or a biodegradable bag. Lets hope for all are sakes that this is the start of the revolution!

greekman - 30 Mar 2007 07:47 - 24098 of 27111

Anyone notice in my previous post this section...Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) Etc. Presumably this is were SEO got the name idea from for Wrap100.
I would be interested in all views regarding said article.

Blanche,

It was San Fransisco, although I have seen several such reports over the last 12 months where other US states have announced similar bans on all sorts of none bio type waste.
Things are definitely speeding along re waste management programmes. This is what is worrying me regarding SEO.

We all thought that several months ago SEO were well in the lead.
I remember posting that if this was a horse race, filly SEO were well in the lead, nearing the finishing post.
Ignoring all the hype, SEO now appear to be well stuck on the last bend with several others disappearing into the distance.
Continuing with the horse race analogy, to me SEO once looked a good as a thoroughbred, now they are about as likely to win the main race Starpol/Greanseal Stakes as Steptoes, horse Hercules (giving my age away again).
Lets just hope the vet doesn't turn up and shoot the bloody thing. Mind you how long is it humane to prolong the agony.
I suggest SEO, and there broker advertise shares with a warning, Shares can go up or down, Masochists only to apply.
Well back to the Valium.
