Welcome Bunny.
If leek was in Wales we wouldn't let him in LW.
Milwall fans have been barred from crossing the border for sometime, we are also trying to deport Cardiff fans too.
Your not wrong about the breeding LW, we have a couple of villages around here
where the people all look the same.

Jeffers
Oddly enough I did look at house prices whilst I was in Thanet. They have gone up significantly since my last sojourn. You are right about the ten bedroom hotel for 130,000. At least, that is if the rooms are very small and the guests all bark! There are a few very dowdy places right under the Manston flight path that are cheap. The area I looked at was Birchington, the posh end of Cliftonville and the West Cliff area of Ramsgate. Can I have a loan from your bank?

Evening All, I think it'll be a real cornish pasty with trifle at the pudding end and a steaming mug of Jeffs builders tea please; if you can stand the spoon in it you've got the strength right.
Where's the mutt, under the bar I expect with his snout up his wotsit [wish I could do that-give him a biscuit and he might let you].Old ones still being the best, eh Socs.
Socs..we looked seriously at the North Foreland area and Broadstairs, it all seemed Charlie Dickens and lots of ex-Cardiff folk, weird or what?
Presume you read about Jeffers impending move away from 'the smoke',I just wondered if he's off because he can make a better cup out of Tetleys?
After the pasty I'd better get some kicking practise in and a bit of a go on the old punchbag [Don't even think it Jeff..lol]!!!

Leek - is that one of those motorway 'refreshment' areas? Take care up there they think that everything south of Watford is bandit country, like Liverpool. When they discover you are Jaspanese they will assume you are an assylum seeker and they can pay you 3 an hour and make you work as well!

Is that East-end culture, Kray Brothers culture, Milwall supporters and thugs club culture, Japanese culture, lazing about at work culture or what?!!

The only culture I've seen today was on the cheese when I opened the Cafe fridge. What are you lot like? I go away on a mission and the place falls apart. Time to open the bubbly and then get things back on an even keel.
Jeffers move away from the smoke? I didn't see that, where's he off to? I hope it's not Cheltenham, we'll have to put the shutters up like we did when Hightone came for the races. We've only just taken up the last of the booby traps and the the land mines.

If you wanted to move to Thanet I could have shown you the best areas. There are some smashing places but you need some local knowledge or a good agent to show you where they are.

Morning all, big match day so started it off with the great British fry-up, not a regular thing and it will probably get the chlorestol flying.
Socs, the Thanet bit is history now, it was because we wanted to be close to ferry crossings for Europe, mainly for 'er indoors work contracts with SAP;
we decided on Aldeburgh, Suffolk instead which was definately a correct decision. However, we bought a house there, lived in it for six months and then decided that me having retired, it would make sense for mrs.lw to do the same.
Had traipsed around the capital cities in my lady's wake so we upped roots and headed here to the winelands in South Africa, again a very correct decision. We made 40% profit on the Aldeburgh gaff in those 6 months and made a lot of friends who are constantly in touch.
Now its feet up time, wine tasting, exploring this fantastic country, meeting new friends and tons of golf, braiis etc.

Good morning lw. I had thought about Aldeburgh for a retirement gaff but it's so flat around there. Also there seems to be an ever present risk of waking up one morning and finding that your house is now part of the north sea. There is no way I could ever leave England so I'm stuck with looking around for a suitable retirement abode.
Right now her-indoors is calling for me to get ready to go out, so I shall have to wash yet again this week and then go trolley racing around Tesco. Life is just one long adventure.
But, lw, you'll soon get fed up with life in SA and be hot-footing it back to the UK to do exciting things like bungee jumping, canoeing down rapids or investing in Wiggins. Of course it may be something more mundane that forces you back, like our local pure pork snorkers sizzling under the grill.
Incidentally, I have some long lost relatives out there somewhere. If you should come across them ask them to get in touch. They've been missing since 1934 and I've no idea what became of them.

It's not what I call bliss, but each to his own as they say. Leek, that's nearly Stoke on Trent isn't it? I thought you worked for a bank, are you branching out?

Game over, fantastic time was had by all and , deepest joydemode, England won.
My clothes show of red, white and blue proved a hit and the flag of St George flew proudly; everyone shook hands and agreed that over the full match we were the best altho' we should have been down at half time.
Socs..re rellie; what colour was he? Did he say Ja, Dankie and meneer all the time 'cos as Lloyd Grossman says "the clues are there".
Was his name Rhodes, Livingstone or Wemmershoek? ..lol..
Jeff..don't you mean 'midleek' and 'leekend?
I suppose you'll allow your secretary to share your one bed gaff up there; purely to save your new bank employer money eh!
Have heard all about these execs who have a bigamous existence altho' I suppose that way you'd have two mother-in-laws, bloody hell...bugger that!

Sounds like either a breed of rabbit or a strutting bantam cock like dear old Jake Thackary used to sing about.
Give me last known area, age and any other details and I'll have a chat to a fellow golf club member of the local 'old bill'.
You'm never know.
No look-in today from 'the dog', hope he hasn't broken his parole conditions.
Will 'nose' into mtp now as I see Vasey is issuing a message there.
Close the cafe for the night, I'm for my pit.
Night, Night.....lw slopes orf.

Morning all,
Brekkies IN BED for mrs.lw today after Englands performance; poached eggs on toast with fresh orange juice. Cloudless sky so off to Hermanus for the day to watch the wales and their calves.
Well, someone's gotta do it.
Shall have lunch there and then a leisurely drive back along stunning coastline and drop down to Gordons Bay via Sir Lowry Pass.
Vasey, hi honey, as you know I like to keep up with MTP happenings;
an apparent good product and appeared to be going well with good contracts,
I wonder what the real truth is behind all the happenings.
Skulldugerry methinks; I was really seriously warned off by the guy who first put me onto them, he was so specific about getting out that I followed his advise and advised via threads accordingly, poo pooed most of the time I'm afraid and of course I couldn't be specific as I really didn't know the reasons myself.
Sold out on a rising market at the time and wasn't happy doing so but the rest is history and I did very well.
Point being, there must have been a strong GET OUT message for those 'in the know' that it makes you realise what a bent place the market really is.
Hope you weren't too badly hurt as I know the feeling all too well.
Anyway, have a glass or tyhree of V.C., come out here on a visit and I'll give you a caseful.
xx
