THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

one wish for my dotage is that this thread and some of the posters become rather better tempered and less vituperative ...... i understand that ADVFN specialises in such nonsense which is one reason i have never ventured there

Repetition.

What did I miss?

==

Not sure what I am doing to produce duplication.

But on this laptop one of my CTRL keys is in different position to others and is sometime a B. nuisance.

Cynic,

I think you have been very moderate and temperate over the last few days.

Are you OK?

8-)

For all the dog owners here, there are signs all over the country parks where I live about this at the moment.

margret thatcher was a tax cheat she fiddle her taxes so what is thetax man going to do now

3 monkies - 18 Apr 2013 17:52 - 24143 of 81564

Maybe we/human beings should all start worrying about what is going to happen next in this world/our country and stop worrying about MT. At least she was dead when she was cremated not like some in Texas.

Haystack - 18 Apr 2013 18:17 - 24144 of 81564

I would guess that the tax man will do nothing as I am sure if she did anything to avoid tax it was perfectly legal.

hilary - 18 Apr 2013 18:37 - 24145 of 81564

Well Mark Thatcher certainly isn't domiciled in the UK, and C Thatch spends most of her time in Switzerland where I guess she has residency, so I would've thought their presumed inheritance of some shares in either a BVI IBC or trust is of no business of HMRC whatsoever.

As yet!

======

After to-days figure, does the Cameroon replace Georgie boy before, or after announcing very quietly another U-turn.

Fred1new - 18 Apr 2013 18:56 - 24147 of 81564

Just listening to the cameron saying how he is helping business and taxes are down.

Didn't mention inflation is up.

chuckles - 18 Apr 2013 19:33 - 24148 of 81564

Inflation is steady, down since the coalition came to power.

Haystack - 18 Apr 2013 22:44 - 24149 of 81564

The Times tomorrow

Ed Miliband is facing fierce internal dissent amid claims that plum seats in the European Parliament are being “stitched up” for union-backed candidates. Rows have broken out across the country within Labour after previously popular candidates were excluded in favour of others supported by the party’s biggest financial backers. Mr Miliband has been asked to intervene by party members worried that unions have had too much influence in clearing the way for their preferred candidates. The row has set off new fears among Blairites that union dominance in the party is growing before the next general election

cynic - 18 Apr 2013 23:06 - 24150 of 81564

fred - just back from a seriously windy golf match + dinner, but hey ho, someone has to do these shitty jobs ..... anyway, and i'm sure hilary will confirm, a modicum of inflation is no bad thing, especially in the current economic climate
