How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

I know, I lied. But its the most painful match I have ever attempted to watch. Haven't traded any matches this weekend, my nerves are totally shot. I've be 4000 miles away next week so will not have to suffer.

A bizarre match. It feels like Southampton could be on the end of record defeat looking at the way they are playing. They look completely clueless.

I ain't watching any more. It's embarassing. I can't believe this is the same team that I have watched for the last thirty years of which only three of those have been out of the top flight. It looks like they have totally fallen apart. Goal difference could be critical but they seem to throwing that away also.

been having a read of some of the forums on betfair - found a few informative ones but gee how many idiots are there!!! 99% of the posts are unsubstantiated arguments or people asking for or following advice like sheeps - just confirms why a lot of the theories work lol!!!

Cant believe the prices on Singh in the golf tonight - off the last tee all square with Daly he missed the fairway and drifted from 1.7 to 3 (at which point i backed). The lie and line he had were as good as being on the fairway. He then hits to 6 ft and I green up at 1.22. :-)

Tend to find when it gets near to the end of a golf tournament, the prices fluctuate wildly on every shot. IMO the price changes are overdone in respect of the odds lengthening when a player misses a fairway or green. I think a lot of punters have the mentality of their own game that unless they hit the fairway then the green then they wont make a par, whereas the top pros make par or better far more often than not (unless in a hazard or unplayable or route to green completely blocked)
Saying that, play off has just got interesting - singh hits it into the heavy rough blocked by trees, price out to 3.0. Then Daly hits it in the lake, Singh back in to 1.2 (missed the 3.0 this time as i was too busy typing - doh!!!)

Sorry! Ignore that for Betfair. It doesn't work. I find it useful for eBay though.
