Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

HelenW,

You go to the link specified in my post above the same way you go to almost every other think on most webpages - by clicking on it (that is why it is blue in colour) :)

HelenW,

I think we have found the cause of your problem.

I have just logged in as you and used your terminal view.

The reason you are seeing it stuck on '3rd September' is because on that pane you are looking at the traders thread for the 3rd September. It is the thread title you are seeing and that will not change!

It doesn't help because I can get Moneyam for the correct day by logging on as I do every day, but on the Terminal page it is stuck on 3rd Sept.

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 08 Sep 2004 15:48 - 2425 of 7315

HelenW,

No, it isnt stuck on 3rd September, you are just viewing a thread on the BB from the 3rd September. A closer look shows it to be a URL you personally put into that box :)

I have amended your terminal view so that it will show the BB thread list. Please close your current terminal window and reopen it.

Thank you for that - sorry to have been a muppet. BUT this doesn't help the problem of MoneyAM crashing when I have the terminal in use. It has never done this before I had Terminal and, so far I have had to log in again about a dozen times, since Thursday. Does this have a simple solution too?

HelenW - 08 Sep 2004 15:52 - 2427 of 7315

I didn't know I had the skills to put a URL in a box!

HelenW - 08 Sep 2004 15:59 - 2428 of 7315

Maybe I am not such a muppet after all. The homepage window in Terminal is STILL refreshing to 3rd Sept!!!!! I can get Foale round here to verify. I went back to list clicked on Traders Thread 8th september and it came up. 30 Secs later, it reverted to 3rd Sept. Am I still doing something stupid!

HelenW - 08 Sep 2004 16:25 - 2429 of 7315

Hello... is anybody there?

HelenW - 08 Sep 2004 16:57 - 2430 of 7315

Foale has been round and fixed the problem!

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 08 Sep 2004 16:59 - 2431 of 7315

HelenW,

If you click on a URL within a window that is set to refresh to a fixed URL it will of course revert to the original one - this is expected behaviour.

If you want to change where it is pointed to, click on the 'toolbox' button at the top of that frame and change where it is pointed to.

Also, I have just logged in as you, gone to your 'basic' terminal view and got the traders thread, 8th September; not the 3rd.

Can you send a screen shot (full screen) to support@moneyam.com and ill take a look at it, but as far as I can tell by logging in as you, is that you are seeing exactly what you have told it to show you.

HelenW,

Looks like I was typing at the same time as you.

Was it a system problem, or a user problem in the end?

foale - 08 Sep 2004 17:31 - 2433 of 7315

Hi...Helens problem was as per 2430 ...

It was set to show the traders thread on 3rd...
then Helen amended the pane manually to display 8th...
but after the 30s refresh it of course
reverted to 3rd...

Now correctly pointing to 8th...
so will be ok until tomorrow!

I am very pleased with my new terminal btw
Works well for me.

Bullshare - 09 Sep 2004 06:46 - 2435 of 7315

Helen; Have loaded up your terminal from home and it all looks fine and works fine except you had the wrong Epic code in for the Dow chart which I have corrected.

Thanks all for your help. Apparently I didn't realise I had to put in a new url to get the correct screen each day. Cost me a cup of tea for David to put me right - cheap at the price!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 09 Sep 2004 07:41 - 2437 of 7315

Helen,

No problem - if you have any further questions, please feel free to ask me,
